Peace Corps
Project Manager
EduCare India
Dharamsala, India
Dear Peace Corps representative:
Through my own personal research and interest, I have discovered your position for Project
Manager with EduCare India within the Peace Corps. My educational background in
Geography and Geology makes me an excellent candidate for this position, as does my
strong desire to assist this region in overcoming the issues it is facing by addressing the
need for sustainable farming and water conservation.
Upon discovering the EduCare India program and what it has done for the community and
what it is trying to do, I immediately wanted to be a part of it. My educational experience in
the field of Geography and Geology gives me a background in the global issues such as
these that these people face in addition to the environmental factors in play within the
region. Additionally, it gives me the knowledge to come up with and expand on practical
ideas that could be implemented and made mainstream to possibly overcome these
challenges. As you will see in my resume, I have experience in health care, primarily in fields
that require great patience and compassion for other human beings. I posses the ability to
handle myself in situations where I am required to work independently and with little, or no,
supervision, often making decisions and taking action based on my own best judgment. I
feel that my educational background, combined with my interpersonal and leadership skills,
make me a highly qualified candidate for this position. I also believe that my dedication to
the mission of your organization to spread sustainable development, education, and
empowerment to the Indian people in the rural areas and slums would give me the drive
necessary to ensure my success and we will find innovative solutions to accomplish these
goals.
I am eager to schedule an interview so that we may discuss these possibilities further,
please contact me anytime by phone at 813-767-5759, or by email at mcraee@mail.usf.edu.
Thank you for your time and considerations.
Sincerely,

Emily T McRae
