About the Project:

Our project focuses on the development of a Smart Dustbin equipped with ultrasonic
sensors for real-time garbage level monitoring. A microcontroller processes the sensor
data and communicates wirelessly through Wi-Fi or GSM to a central server. Users
can conveniently track the fill level and receive timely notifications through a
dedicated mobile app or web interface. The system aims to optimize waste collection
routes, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall efficiency. This innovative
solution contributes to smarter waste management by harnessing the power of the
Internet of Things (IoT) for a cleaner and more sustainable environment.

Motivation:
This project addresses a critical aspect of urban living by revolutionizing waste
management through real-time monitoring. The integration of IoT technology enables
efficient tracking of garbage levels, optimizing collection routes and reducing
operational costs. This innovation not only enhances the sustainability of waste
management practices but also contributes to a cleaner environment. As a final year
project, it provides students with the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technology to
solve a real-world problem, showcasing their skills in embedded systems, sensor
integration, and sustainable design—skills essential for tackling contemporary
societal challenges.

Project Planning: How will you proceed to complete the project? A rough Gantt
