Summary of the Morality

Morality is the principals of distinction between right and wrong

We as Muslims believe our morality is the way to live because Allah is the greater than anything,

So the morality which Allah gave us is also the same which Allah gave to Jews and christians
like Jews was revealed with 12 commandments of morality to live their life on, which is like this

First Commandment (Exodus 20:2)

I am the Lord Your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Second Commandment (Exodus 20:3-6)

You shall have no other gods beside Me. You shall not make for yourself any graven image, nor any
manner of likeness, of any thing that is heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them, for I, the Lord Your
God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and
fourth generation.

Third Commandment (Exodus 20:7)

You shall not take the name of the Lord Your God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless
that takes His name in vain.

Fourth Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11)

Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the
seventh day is a Sabbath unto the Lord Your God, in it you shall not do any manner of work, you,
nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your cattle, nor
your stranger that is within your gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea,
and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day,
and made it holy.
Fifth Commandment (Exodus 20:12)

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord God
gives you.

Sixth Commandment (Exodus 20:13)

You shall not murder.

Seventh Commandment (Exodus 20:13)

You shall not commit adultery.

Eighth Commandment (Exodus 20:13)

You shall not steal.

Ninth Commandment (Exodus 20:13)

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Tenth Commandment (Exodus 20:14)

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, nor his wife, his man-servant, his maid-servant, nor his
ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

So everyone can how similar our moral values are with Jews even with their corrupted Torah but
our Islam has updated solutions which even Torah and bible don't have ,

So we have another examples from bible like

Corinthians 15:33
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Romans 13:8-10

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not
bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly
comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill
to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Revelation 21:8

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death.

John 2:15-17

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of
the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust
thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever

As everyone can see that even though the bible is corrupted but they still morality code with us
which is because it was revealed by Allah but the humans corrupted it.

So no we have a general idea why Jews and christians share similar moral code with us but now we
have to understand the word
Ahl e kitaab

Allah refers to christians and Jews as Ahl e kitaab and also made permissable nikkah between their
women and Islamic men so here is the question for you all

what is ahl e kitaab why Allah gave us a edge when it comes to their women and our men in
marriage.
