Law of Love

12 "Ug karon, Israel, unsa ang gikinahanglan ni Jehova nga
imong Dios kanimo, kondili ang pagkahadlok kang Jehova nga
imong Dios, ang paglakaw sa tanang mga dalan niya, ug ang
paghigugma kaniya, ug ang pag-alagad kang Jehova nga imong
Dios sa bug-os mong kasingkasing, ug sa bug-os mong kalag,
13 Ang pagbantay sa mga sugo ni Jehova ug sa iyang
kabalaoran, nga akong ginasugo kanimo niining adlawa alang
sa imong kaayohan?"

Deut. 10:12-13
The 10 Commandments are
divided into 2 parts

God
1st to 4th commandments

Man and relationship with fellow men


5th to 10th commandments

"Ug higugmaon mo si Jehova nga
imong Dios sa bug-os mong
kasingkasing, ug sa bug-os mong
kalag, ug sa bug-os mong gahum."
Deuteronomy 6:5

….higugmaon mo ang imong
isigkatawo ingon sa imong
kaugalingon.
Leviticus 19:18
"Dili ka
magbaton ug
lain nga mga
dios sa
atubangan
ko."

Exodus 20:3
You shall not make for
yourself a carved image
—any likeness of
anything that is in
heaven above, or that is
in the earth beneath, or
that is in the water
under the earth;

Genesis 20:4
…but showing mercy
to thousands, to those
who love Me and
keep My
commandments.
Genesis 20:6
You shall not take the
name of the Lord
your God in vain, for
the Lord will not hold
him guiltless who
takes His name in
vain.
Genesis 20:7
…but the seventh day is the
Sabbath of the LORD your
God. In it you shall do no
work: you, nor your son, nor
your daughter, nor your male
servant, nor your female
servant, nor your cattle, nor
your stranger who is within
your gates.

Genesis 20:10
For in six days the LORD
made the heavens and the
earth, the sea, and all that
is in them, and rested the
seventh day. Therefore
the LORD blessed the
Sabbath
day and hallowed it.

Genesis 20:11
Honor your father
and your mother,
that your days may
be long upon the
land which the
LORD your God is
giving you.

Genesis 20:12
You
shall not
murder.
Genesis 20:13
You shall
not
commit
adultery.
Genesis 20:14
You
shall not
steal.
Genesis 20:15
You shall not
bear false
witness
against your
neighbor.

Genesis 20:16
You shall not covet your
neighbor’s house; you shall
not covet your neighbor’s
wife, nor his male servant,
nor his female servant, nor
his ox, nor his donkey, nor
anything that is your
neighbor’s.”

Genesis 20:17

For this is the love of God, that we
keep His commandments. And His
commandments are not burdensome.

1 John 5:3

The LORD is well pleased for His
righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the
law and make it honorable.

Isaiah 42:21
“Do not think that I came to destroy
the Law or the Prophets. I did not
come to destroy but to fulfill.

Matthew 5:17
For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven
and earth pass away, one jot or one
tittle will by no means pass from the
law till all is fulfilled.
Matthew 5:18

If you love Me, keep My
commandments.

John 14:15

He who has My commandments and keeps
them, it is he who loves Me. And he who
loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I
will love him and manifest Myself to him.

John 14:21

Now by this we know that we know Him,
if we keep His commandments. He who
says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is
not in him.
1 John 2:3-4

Let us hear the conclusion of the
whole matter: Fear God and
keep His commandments, For
this is man’s all.
Ecclesiastes 12:14

…for it is God who works in
you both to will and to do for
His good pleasure.
