TCW ACTIVITY NO. 2 “ THE GLOBAL FREE TRADE ON TRIAL”

Global flows of all kinds help to boost GDP by increasing productivity, and data flows magnify this
benefit by increasing participation and making markets more efficient. Globalization has sucked
the resources and expertise of the impoverished of the South into the global marketplace, which
has had an influence on the global south. Rural areas having lower economic production, higher
poverty levels, and worse quality infrastructure and services, indicating a divide between rural and
urban areas. Agriculture's significance as a growth engine in low-income nations can be
considerably enhanced by globalization, which allows agriculture to grow faster than domestic
consumption.
The international import and export of commodities and services is known as global trade.
However, we are oblivious to how free trade has benefited the economy and the country as a
whole. Policy, goods, and services can be bought and sold across international borders with
minimal to no government tariffs, quotas, subsidies, or bans preventing them from doing so. As
they slowly innovate, global trade exploits labor and harms the environment. Small firms are
frequently encouraged to relocate to countries with low environmental protection and labor rules
in order to carry on and continue their operations as easily as possible. This type of action could
lead to labor violations and environmental catastrophe. Most importantly, global free trade has
created economic imbalances as a result of unequal resource distribution among countries,
resulting in financial and economic crises.

In conclusion, Global Free Trade has aided the country's progress while slowly killing its characters.
And I agree that global free trade has done more harm than good because we have easier access
to international brands (via online shopping) as a result of the modern technological system of
society; now, as a result of global free trade, international or foreign brands can come in and out
of the country so easily that citizens may gradually disregard the country's own local products and
economy.
