Liquefied petroleum gas, often known as LPG, is the greatest remedy for
Bangladesh's energy crisis. The nation's declining petrol reserves are a result of the
increased demand for LPG.
Bangladesh's natural gas reserves as of 2015 were 14.16 trillion cubic feet, or enough
to last until 2031 assuming consumption stays the same. According to government
data, the primary cause of gas depletion is the increased use of natural gas in power
generation, which is depleting gas fields and placing pressure on the energy sector
because it accounted to 56% of domestic energy demand. Gas lines are already being
distributed by Titas Gas to locations with a higher priority as of 2016.
The country's 20 active gas fields now produce roughly 2,500 mmcdf (million cubic
feet per day) of gas, with estimates that output would peak in 2017 at 2,700 mmscfd
before declining. According to estimates from Petrobangla for the 2015–16 fiscal
year, the nation's total petrol consumption was estimated to be 3,200 mmscfd, which
represents a 30% shortfall from the country's overall demand. A 500 mmscfd natural
gas deficit each year foresees the necessity to diversify the energy sources. The lack
of Natural Gas (NG) will worsen over time and have a broad impact on the production
of energy, fertilizer, transportation, and the residential sector. LPG is mostly used in
homes for cooking and in a few light technical companies that utilize fuel for welding.
Currently, the residential sector accounts for 13% of all natural gas consumption.
According to the national Energy Division, almost 2.8 million households are now
utilising 330 mmcfd gas, or 13.06 percent of the total gas production. Petrol demand
is predicted to increase by three times by 2030, even with a programme of energy
conservation.

Research Question
Research Model
The three independent variables that make up the study model are "Attitude Towards
Behaviour," "Subjective Norm," and "Influence of the Retailers." Our dependent
variable "Purchasing Bashundhara LPG" is produced by these four independent
factors.
Consumer Behavioral Intention
Research Method
To begin our research, we initially delved into existing secondary sources and
reviewed several research papers that had previously explored the same industry we
are currently studying. Following this, we proceeded to conduct an online survey
using Google Forms, targeting households and service professionals as they represent
the primary customer base for LPG. we developed a questionnaire encompassing
several factors, with the aim of refining the focus of our survey, specifically
examining Consumer Behavioral Intention concerning the purchase of Bashundhara
LPG.Once the questionnaire was prepared, we subjected the questions to per-testing
to ensure their alignment with the research objectives. Any necessary adjustments
were made to ensure that the questions would yield precise and relevant information.
Subsequently, the survey was distributed through social media platforms to reach a
diverse array of respondents from Bangladesh.
Measurment- In terms of measurement, the questionnaires focused on assessing
customers' purchase intentions regarding Bashundhara LPG in comparison to its
competitors. These questionnaires were designed to gather perceptual data and
employed a five-point Likert scale. This scale ranged from "strongly agree" to
"strongly disagree" to capture respondents' opinions regarding their intention to
purchase Bashundhara LPG. The questions were constructed around the dependent
variable, which is consumer behavioral intention toward using Bashundhara LPG.
Additionally, three independent variables were included to explore the primary factors
influencing customers' choice of Bashundhara LPG.The questionnaires included
sections for collecting demographic data from the respondents.
Sampling: The sample size was randomly chosen through social media and they
reflected their response through google form. The questionnaires were given on
different social media platforms and groups where interested peoples reflected their
insights about the topic. Almost 20 response were collected where they responded to
16 questions. 52.8% of our respondents were female and 47.2% were male where
most were households and service holders which are Bashundhara LPG’s target
customers.
Analysis and Interpretation of data:
On the basis of the data obtained by doing the survey (where the sample size is 20
respondents) about the consumer buying behavior of purching BLPG, some analysis
and interpretations are made using the graphs and tables. The analysis and
interpretations of the obtained are discussed elaborately below:

see that serviceholder 35%,businessmen 13% and households 35% which is huge. The
graph above shows that huge percentage of the chart is occupied by the service
holder.
Monthly Income:

and status of the user of the products and services. By doing the survey, the data
obtained shows that maximum percentage of the respondents earns within a range of
below Taka 20,000 to Taka 40,000. The chart shows that 56.5% of the respondents
earn below Taka 50,000 and 13% of the respondents earns.Taka 10000-20000 range

Discussion-
Implementation
Our Term Paper holds substantial value for Bashundhara LPG's marketing and sales
teams as it provides valuable insights and reminders regarding what customers and
consumers in Bangladesh highly value when purchasing their product. It delves into
the social motivations that drive consumers to engage with retailers and distributors
and how the overall environment influences their perception of Bashundhara LPG as a
brand. Ultimately, the paper demonstrates how all these factors collectively influence
customers' behavioral intentions. The marketing and sales teams can utilize this
information to enhance their strategies, tailoring their operations to boost profitability,
ensure organizational longevity, and increase brand awareness.
Recommendations
We recommend that users exercise caution when interpreting and applying the
insights from our report and findings, recognizing that they stem from a specific
research study. The conclusions drawn may not encompass the complete spectrum of
the matter, considering the constraints of our study such as limited budget, a short
timeframe, and the study's confined scope to Bangladesh. Therefore, it's essential to
validate our findings through personal testing before implementing any strategies
based on them. We acknowledge the study's limitations, including its focused
geographic range within Bangladesh, implying that the results may not be universally
applicable to LPG users across the country, let alone other regions globally where
LPG is in demand.
The data we have gathered suggests that our current model is relatively basic.
Therefore, in future studies on the same topic, it's crucial to consider additional
factors to gain a deeper understanding of customers' behavioral intentions toward
purchasing Bashundhara LPG. Upon reflection, we recommend including the
following factors for a more comprehensive analysis: Cylinder Quality, Retailer
Service Quality, Preference, and Satisfaction. These factors will provide valuable
insights into customer preferences regarding Bashundhara LPG as a brand and help us
understand the needs, wants, and desires of specific target customer segments.
However, achieving this requires a detailed study of these factors. This topic holds
significant potential for explaining customer behavior related to LPG consumption.
Exploring factors like Cylinder Quality and Retailer Service Quality will reveal the
extent to which these factors influence each other and other variables, shedding light
on their interconnectedness and strengths of impact. In summary, there is an
opportunity to make significant advancements in comprehending Customer Behavior
in purchasing Bashundhara LPG by properly incorporating and studying these factors
and their components in future research.
