1. Define the following below:

a. Data Mapping
The process of matching fields between databases is known as data mapping. It's
the initial measure to make data integration, migration, and other data
management processes easier. For many data operations to be successful, data
mapping is essential. One data mapping error can spread throughout your
company, resulting in duplicate mistakes and, eventually, incorrect examination.

b. Data Exchange
A data exchange allows different stakeholders to share data. It gives users access
to global data points to support data-driven marketing advertisements and
activities. One of the biggest data exchanges is Lotame's Global Data Exchange
(LDX). giving users immediate access to hundreds of audience segments
composed of numerous international data sources. Exchange of data is the
process of sending and receiving information so that the meaning or content of the
information is not changed during the transfer.

c. Data Integration
The continuous practice of regularly transferring data from one system to another
is known as data integration. The integration might be initiated by an event or
scheduled, for example, on a quarterly or monthly basis. To put it simply, the
process of integrating and harmonizing data from several sources into a single,
comprehensible format that may be utilized for a range of operational, analytical,
and decision-making objectives is known as data integration.

d. HTML
HyperText Markup Language is referred to as HTML. It's the common markup
language for making webpages. Markup language and hypertext are combined to
form HTML. Web page links are defined by hypertext. The text document inside
the tag is defined using a markup language, which also defines the structure of
web pages. Text can be annotated (noted down for the computer) using this
language so that it can be understood by a machine and used for appropriate
manipulation. Most markup languages, like HTML, are legible by humans. Tags
are used by the language to specify what needs to be altered in the content.
e. XSL
A language for expressing style sheets is called XSL. Similar to CSS, an XSL style
sheet is a file that specifies how an XML document of a certain type should be
displayed. XSL is compatible with CSS2 and has similar capabilities, albeit with a
different syntax.

f. XSLT
A language for converting XML documents into other XML documents, HTML,
Extensible HTML, text, or JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) is defined by the
XSLT standard. A stylesheet defined in well-formed XML that provides precise
styling information for one or more XML source documents is what an XSLT
document is. One way to instruct a browser to format data in an XML document as
a table is to use an XSLT stylesheet.

g. XPATH
Parts of an XML document can be accessed or referenced by XSLT and other
languages using the compact expression language defined by the XPath standard.
Its main objective is to address the nodes in JSON trees and, starting with XPath
3.1, XML trees. XPath was created by the W3C to be integrated with host
languages like XSLT and XML Query (XQuery). It navigates the hierarchical
structure of XML documents using path notation instead of XML syntax.
2. Why is it important to know the data mapping steps and techniques in the
system integration?
For me, it is important to comprehend data mapping procedures and approaches
in system integration to guarantee that disparate systems may successfully
communicate with one another. Data mapping facilitates the translation of data
between formats, guaranteeing precise data transfer between systems free from
damage or loss. Organizations may increase data quality, decrease errors, and
streamline their integration processes by understanding the phases and strategies
of data mapping. Ultimately, this improves decision-making, boosts productivity,
and improves the integrated systems' overall performance.

3. Do you think that system integration is really helpful to an organization?

Yes, organizations greatly benefit from system integration. It facilitates more
seamless system integration, increases productivity, lessens the need for human
labor, improves data accuracy, and facilitates improved decision-making.

4. Why the organization is integrating a system?

A system is integrated by an organization to boost departmental communication,
accelerate procedures, and increase efficiency. Better job coordination, less effort
duplication, and instantaneous information access throughout the company are all
made possible by this integration. In the end, system integration might result in
financial savings, higher output, and improved decision-making.
