Research Design (Research type and Research design with RRL)

Participants The respondents to this study are the Science,

Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
students who’s enroll at Mary the Queen College of
Pampanga, year 2023 - 2024 with no failing marked
participant to extra-curricular activities, and with a
total of 30 STEM students.
The researchers will use the non probability sampling
method or what we called Quota Sampling which
means relies on the non-random selection of a defined
amount or number of units. Using the quota formula
we need to get the total population and divide it into
the total number of participants to get the total
number of respondents. According to Tasci, G., &
Mary the Queen College (PAMPANGA), Inc.

Titrek, O. (2021) Quota sampling method was used in

the qualitative section. Studying qualitative data
involves systematically arranging, analyzing, and
evaluating the information collected.
The researchers aims only the STEM students, since
the teachers are actually recruit representatives from
the STEM students, so we are curious about the
challenges they face in balancing acads and extra
curricular activities. That's why we chose only the
STEM students since they can almost relate to our
topic.
Since the grade 12 students are 1 year ahead of us. it
is more convenience to interview them for us to
remember or gain awareness, information, and
perspective on the strategy on balancing their study
priorities and extracurricular activities. In order to
examine the challenges faced by students who are
nearing the end of their high school education and
may be dealing with the pressures of exams, college
applications and extra curricular activities,
researchers will focus on students in the 12th grade.
