My Fellow Miners

I come to you in a time of struggle, a time of desperation and a time of need. I implore you to listen
to my message as we are standing on our last legs in desperate need of support.

I stand in front of all of you not only as a miner, but as a human being. Filled With a desire for
empathy, compassion and equality. Our voices, tired and worn from our battle, need to rise together
for a cause greater than ourselves.

Our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters have been oppressed and not listened to for far too long now. They
have a lot in common with us. Whilst striving for a different cause the nature of their struggle is the
same as ours. They can’t express their opinion and are being ignored by society.

We as a community have a responsibility towards them, we need to show solidarity for their
movement as they have shown toward us with all their help and donations. Only in unison can we
strive for a better future, for a better community!

How can we show our solidarity? How can we show our support?

We are approaching Gay Pride month, this is our opportunity to stand side by side with our LGBTQ+
Friends, against our struggles. We are not only fighting for the rights of these individuals but for the
principals of the community. Principles that align with our values: friendship, love, understanding,
compassion.

The only way we can have influence is to stand together. With our solidarity and strength in numbers
we stand a chance in our battle against a common enemy!

So let us march forth not only as miners, but as bringers of equality, defenders of justice and beacons
of hope. Let us pave a brighter, more inclusive and loving future, one where every voice is heard and
every heart is valued.
