Subject Note when adjusting the color registration

When performing the color registration adjustment, please follow the instruction as illustrated below.

[When the color registration shift occurs]

1. Perform the color calibration (auto adjustment).

2. If it does not correct the problem, please manually adjust the color calibration.

[Procedure]

=MFP=
A. Perform the color calibration from the operation panel. (Turning the power OFF and then ON can also
perform the calibration.)
• System/Counter menu Æ Adjustment/Maintenance Æ Calibration Æ Yes.

B. Afterward, if necessary, manually perform the color registration adjustment (Details).

• System/Counter menu Æ Adjustment/Maintenance Æ Registration Æ Details Æ Print Chart Æ Yes
• Then input the adjustment value for each color by checking the printed chart.

=Printer=
A. Perform the color calibration from the operation panel. (Turning the power OFF and then ON can also
perform the calibration.)
• System/Counter menu Æ Adjustment/Maintenance Æ Calibration Æ OK Æ Calibration? Æ OK

B. Afterward, if necessary, manually perform the color registration adjustment (Details).

• System/Counter menu Æ Adjustment/Maintenance Æ Color registration adjustment (Details) Æ Print
Adjustment Chart Æ OK Æ Print Adjustment Chart? Æ OK
• Then input the adjustment value for each color by checking the printed chart.

C. Do not perform the manual color registration adjustment first. The problem may be corrected immediately
after making the adjustment, but the color registration shift may occur after several days.
D. In order to acquire more precise adjustment, please perform the color registration adjustment (Details) as a
base.
