What I Believe in
What I Believe in
I believe in investing in myself and always continuing to get better at something in my life.
We all should be looking to move forward in our life and never stay satisfied with where we are.
In life there is someone who is trying to take my spot where it is in a sport or in a job. As a man I
must compete every day so that one day I can be successful in life. Being successful does not
mean I have to have a lot of money but what sacrifices did it took to be successful and what
lessons did I learn along the way. There is this saying that my dad taught me that I try to live by
today and it is “only control what you can control.” For me this has helped me get through
tough times in life when I had to make tough decisions for myself or how I reacted towards
others who may have said something negative to me. We make decisions every day, but we
choose how to react when something comes up whether it is good or bad is our choice.
Many people may disagree, but I believe that most people who have a difficult day made that
choice that they made for themselves. Now there are sometimes when a family member died and
could have a different reason to have a difficult day. I think that a lot of it must do with how they
reacted when they ran into a tough time and how they dealt with it. For Example, someone got a
bad grade on a test, or someone said something they did not like, and they let that affect their
entire day. It is important to always move on because there is someone always trying to get in the
way and will be able to figure out some of those people in life and learn from those situations
Another thing I believe in is exposure. I believe in this because life is all about being exposed to
things so I can learn about the situation and know what to do for next time. For Example, if I
read a book about how to drive vs going out and doing it are two different things. Once I
experience it for myself, I will know more about what I am doing and if I get in trouble, I can
find a way out. The more I am exposed to in my life the more things I can learn about by just
being around it and watching others and learning from them. Exposer has been a wonderful way
to learn or do something that I have not done before in my lifetime and has helped me with
experiencing many tasks. For example, pulling a boat to the boat ramp from my house or
learning how to use a racket strap to tie things down in the truck.
