Sami and the Milk
Sami was sixty years old, and he was ill. He was
always tired. He did not like doctors, but last
month his wife said to him, Don’t be stupid, Sami.
Go and see the doctor. Sami said, 'No'.
However, last week he became very ill, so that he
went to the doctor. The doctor examined him and
then said to him, 'You drink too much coffee. Stop
drinking it, and drink milk. Sami looked at the
doctor and said, 'But drinking milk is dangerous,
doctor. The doctor laughed and said, 'dangerous?
How can drinking milk be dangerous?' Sami said,
'Well, doctor, It killed one of my best friends last
year.' The doctor laughed again and said, 'How
did it do that? Sami said. 'He was milking the cow
and the cow fell on him’.

The Farmer and his Sons

A father is on the point of death. He wanted to be


sure that his sons will give the same care to his farm
as he himself had given. He called them to his beside
and said, "My sons, there is a great treasure hid in
one of my fields". The sons, after his death, took their
spades and mattocks and carefully dug over every
part of their land. They did not find treasure, but the
fields later produced extraordinary and
superabundant crops.

Jimmy Story

Jimmy lived in the country, and he loved playing in a


very shallow river near their house; but then his
father got a job in a big city, and he moved there with
his family.
Their new house had a garden, but the garden was
very small. Jimmy wasn't very happy.
"Is there a river near here?" he asked his mother on
the first morning.
His mother answered, "No, there isn't, but there's a
beautiful park near here, Jimmy, and there's a pool
in it. We'll go there this afternoon". Then Jimmy was
happy.
After lunch, Jimmy and his mother went to the park.
Jimmy wanted to walk near the pool, but there was
a sign in front of it. His mother read it to him:
"WARNING: This pool is dangerous. 8 people have
fallen into it." Jimmy looked into the pool carefully.
Then he said, "I can't see them".

Mr. Tom and his Beautiful Hat

Mr. Tom had a few days’ holiday, so he said, I will


go to the mountains by train. He wore his best
clothes, took a small bag, went to the station and
got into the train. He had a beautiful hat, and he
often put his head out of the window.
During the trip, he was looking at the mountains.
But the wind pulled his hat off. Mr. Tom quickly
took his old bag and threw it out of the window
too.
The other people in the train laughed and asked.
‘Will your bag bring your beautiful hat back? Mr.
Tom answered, ‘No, but there is no name and no
address in my hat, and there’s a name and an
address on the bag. Someone will find both of
them near each other, and he will send me the
bag and the hat.
