Feasts of the Lord

3 Feast of Firstfruits – Resurrection
Nissan 15-18

YESHUA JESUS WAS THE FIRSTFRUIT RISING ON THE FEAST OF FIRSTFRUITS

Leviticus 23:10: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you come
into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall
bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the
morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

‘Sheaf’

Hebrew is OMER. The Barley Harvest.

Sheaves (represent) people

Psalms 126:6: He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless
come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Jesus became the firstfruit of the resurrection at the same moment that the High Priest is
waving the sheave of barley harvest. Firstfruits of resurrection and his resurrection fulfilling
the feast of FIRST of the Fruit to resurrect.

Christ has risen from the dead and he has become the firstfruit of those who have fallen
asleep. Firstfruits…

Acts 26:23: That the Christ would go through pain, and being the first to come back from
the dead, would give light to the people and to the Gentiles.

I Corinthians 15:20: But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of
them that slept.

Deuteronomy 26:1-2: Now when you have come into the land which the Lord is giving
you for your heritage, and you have made it yours and are living in it;
2: You are to take a part of the first-fruits of the earth, which you get from the land
which the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket, and go to the place
marked out by the Lord your God, as the resting-place of his name.

Jesus was the First…

WE ARE TO FOLLOW JESUS IN BEING FIRSTFRUITS

Matthew 27:51-53: And the curtain of the Temple was parted in two from end to end; and
there was an earth-shock; and the rocks were broken;
52 And the resting-places of the dead came open; and the bodies of a number of
sleeping saints came to life;
53 And coming out of their resting-places, after he had come again from the dead,
they went into the holy town and were seen by a number of people.

Jesus our first fruit, with others following arising out of death. That first sheaf is a
representative of the whole harvest. Jesus was the first First Fruit. We are the
representation of the rest of the harvest. Because He arose we shall arise also. That first
sheaf represents the first fruit of the whole harvest. Laborers are few. This is a time of the
harvest of souls.

Luke 10:2: Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are
few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into
his harvest.

Interesting term… ‘harvest’. God wanted Israel to come to an understanding that there is a
natural harvest and a spiritual harvest. A harvest of souls.

Counting the Three Days and Three Nights

Hebrews 3:10: Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err
in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

Daniel 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out
the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be
given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS = A FULL 72 HOURS

Matthew 12:38-40 Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying,
Teacher, we would see a sign from you.
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after
a sign; and there shall no sign be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet:
40 for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale; so shall the
Son of man be three [full] days and three [full] nights in the heart of the earth.

God is a God of EXACTNESS. He does everything right on schedule. Nothing is

accidental with him.

Galatians 4:4: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made
of a woman, made under the law,

It was ‘when the fullness of time was come’ not one year too early or too late – God sent
forth his Son. Gal 4:4

The burial and resurrection was an exact 72-hour period. 3 full days (12 hours) and 3 full
nights (12 hours). The resurrection took place at the same time of day that Jesus was
buried only 3 days later. He was buried at 6 pm. This would mean that the resurrection
would take place 3 days later at 6 pm, sundown, not sunrise.

Jesus died at 3pm on Passover, Nissan 14. Law required that all be buried during the
Passover Sabbath that day. So he would have been buried by 6 pm on Nissan 14.

Nissan 15 is called the Feast (divine appointment) of Unleaven Bread. This is the burial of
the one true bread who was without sin – Jesus. Nissan 15 starts at 6 pm. So we start our
72 hour count beginning at 6pm on Nissan 15th, ending 3full days/nights later on Nissan 18
at 6 pm.

Nissan 14 – Passover 3pm His Death

Nissan 15 – Unleaven Bread 6pm His Burial

Nissan 16 – 24 hours in the tomb

Nissan 17 – 24 hours in the tomb

Nissan 18 – 24 hours in the tomb, then 6pm His Resurrection

So from Nissan 14 – 3 pm, Jesus dies and is buried by 6 pm at the start of the Nissan 15.
Now we start counting from Nissan 15 (24 hours) from 6 pm to 6pm. So he would rise on
Nissan 18 by 6 pm in the evening.
1st 24 hours Brings you to Nissan 16 1st 24 hours from 6 pm to 6pm
2nd 24 hours Brings you to Nissan 17 2nd 24 hours from 6 pm to 6pm
3rd 24 hours Brings you to Nissan 18 3rd 24 hours from 6 pm to 6pm

Jesus’ Resurrection was on Nissan 18 6pm in the evening

(The evening and the morning are a day)

Jesus Rose from the Grave on Nissan 18 before 6pm in the evening

The two Mary’s found the tomb empty when they arrived 12 hours later. Dawn was near…

Matthew 28:1: Now late on the Sabbath, when the dawn of the first day of the week was
near, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the place where his body was.

Anoint Jesus Now!

THE BEFORE…

Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there
came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and
she broke the box, and poured it on his head

Bruise Satan’s head

Genesis 3:15: And I will put enmity between you, [Satan] and the woman, and between
your seed and her seed; and he [Jesus] shall bruise your head, and you shalt bruise
his heel.\

Satan could not bruise the head, the anointing, the position of Jesus our Messiah, he could
only bruise his walk, his heel.

Mark 14:3-9 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat,
there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious;
and she broke the box, and poured it on his head.
4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this
waste of the ointment made?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given
to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble you her? she has worked a good work on
me.
7 For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you will you may do them
good: but me you have not always.
8 She has done what she could: she is come beforehand to anoint my body to the
burying.
9 Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole
world, this also that she has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Spiknard was also the gift from the kings at his birth. Spiknard is used for anointing the
dead. It was a memorial to her of His sacrifice. She anointed him with all, absolutely all
that she had. She gave her all to anoint him before his burial. She had faith in the work
that Jesus was about to do. She had a vision of what was about to happen to all people, a
blood would be spilled to save a world. She gave her all.

This is a picture of the Bride of Christ – who is called the watchman, who understand the
signs of the times and seasons (Gods appointment’s).

THE AFTER…

Mark 16:1-6 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of
James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came to the sepulcher at
the rising of the sun.
3nd Feast on God’s Calendar – Firstfruits page 6

3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of
the sepulcher?
4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very
great.
5 And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side,
clothed in a long white garment; and they were afraid.
6 And he said to them, Do not be afraid: You seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was
crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

They came to late. He had already risen 12 hours earlier. We need to come to Jesus now
and anoint His headship with our praise and worship. We cannot wait until it is too late.
Now is the time to work for God. Now is the time to anoint Jesus with love and adoration
and not tomorrow.

Feast of Passover, Unleaven Bread and Firstfruits –

Are Celebrated in Water Baptism

Colossians 2:12: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through
the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Dress Rehearsals for the 1st Coming of the Messiah

Feast 1-3 Barley Harvest:
Feast of Passover Death Accepting Christ as your Savior
Feast of Unleaven Bread Burial Going under the water
Feast of First Fruits Resurrection Coming up out of the water

Matthew 3:16: And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:
and, see, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending
like a dove, and lighting on him:

Mark 1:5, 9-10 And there went out to him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem,
and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. And it came
to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of
John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens
opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending on him:

The Greek word for Baptism is BAPTIZO (means) ‘IMMERSION’ or ‘TO IMMERSE.'
According to the Greek, to baptize can NOT mean “to sprinkle.”

WHAT ARE WE DEMONSTRATING WHEN WE ARE WATER BAPTIZED?

Death Feast of Passover
Burial Feast of Unleaven Bread
Resurrection Feast of First Fruits

Romans 6:3: Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were
baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was
raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life.
5: For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in
the likeness of his resurrection
6: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be
destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Colossians 2:12: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through
the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Water Baptism is a symbol of or typifies Jesus’ death, burial and His resurrection.
My Sources:
These are my notes that I have created over the years from several sources. They are not intended
for publication. They are simply my notes that I am willing to share regarding the Feasts of the
Lord as I have seen fit to put together.
In the early 2000’s, I began attending moves of God all over the nation and into Canada to hear
from God and what He was saying. From Brownsville revival in Florida to Toronto Airport
Christian Fellowship, on into the middle of the US and then on to Fresh Fire in Canada and down
to California. All the time hearing pieces of revelation on God’s Holy Days and Feasts. The Lord
has been leading me continually, teaching me this precious truth of His people Israel and the
Feasts that belong to God.
I believe that we have experienced the Feast of Passover and the Feast of Pentecost, but oh, not
the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feasts were for Israel and I a Gentile, grafted in by the blood of
Jesus, have been included into the nation of Israel.

Note taking from sermons and teachers on the subject, such as Pastor Mark Biltz, and
Steve Blanchard, and from some long forgotten.
