Reflection of the Optimization Project

This project was finding the range where an advertising company can within

budget reach the most amount of people using radio and television ads within a budget.

I used linear equations with inequalities to map out the range where the optimal amount

of tv and radio ads. Another application for this type of analysis would be if you had to

find a range of purchasing two things on a budget. It would be important to be able to

explain this data so that your client can understand what is the best way to reach the

most amount of people while staying under budget. If the budget changed then the

amount of people you could reach would increase. I would round down to stay within the

budget and still give the most amount of the kind of advertising.

This project did not change my opinion on applying math. There has always been work

that requires math. The example of being an advertising company is just one.
