Panel Installation Styles
When planning for an acrylic panel make sure to
assess your design plans to see which style is best t
for your design. Most of our projects use U-channels
since the acrylic edge is exposed. Both styles are
recommend to be constructed with reinforced
concrete with at-least a 6” of wall* on the non-water
side to handle the weight of the water.
*Depends on acrylic thickness

L Shaped channels with an
exposed edge are not
recommended and will end up in
leaking and possible breakage if
swimmers lean against the panel.
Using this style will void your
warranty.
Concrete Channel Side Channel

Final instructions will be sent and approved. Depth

and width depends on acrylic thickness and other
factors.
Concrete Channel Bottom U-Channel

Same measurements for side channel will apply to

the bottom U-channel. Acrylic block will be 1”
depending on acrylic thickness.
 Waterproo ng the U-Channel

This is an important step that is often skipped.

Waterproo ng the channel makes sure there is a
strong leak proof bond.

After the concrete channel u-channel is

completely dry use epoxy resin to waterproof
the surface. The thickness of the waterproof
coating should be about 3-5 mm, after that, let it
dry. We suggest this waterproof method, three
coats and ve coating methods as shown below.

Final Sealing

1) Inject self leveling cement to support the Acrylic panel, insert the self leveling
cement on the bottom of the Acrylic panel till its level. Wait for it to dry.
2) Put the normal cement into the rabbet, ll the gap, and wait for it to dry.
3) Use the silicone to grout the rest of the panel, keeping air bubbles in mind.
