FAÇADE ELEMENTS SPECIFICATIONS

A. Unitised Glazing System

In Unitised Curtain Wall System brackets are anchored to the column/ slabs after detailed survey. Unitised
Curtain Wall System is composed of large glass units that are created and glazed within the factory and then
is supplied to the construction site.

 Horizontal joints or Stack joint consist of an upper sill section sitting inside a lower gutter head.
 Stack joint (head and sill) Aluminium sections to have interlocking metal legs with gaskets, similarly mullion
section to have interlocking metal legs with gaskets to form as a split mullion section.
 The perimeter section of panels consist of:
a. Male mullion (with metal legs for interlocking)
b. Female mullion
c. Gutter Head – at top of panel (with metal legs for interlocking)
d. Sill section – at foot of panel.
 The base of the curtain wall shall be terminated by a sub sill, the top by a subhead.
 The System spans between floors with a single floor bracket.

Advantages

 Installations requires a shorter time period, however the fabrication of the units may take a longer time.
90 % of the work is done at factory.

 In terms of quality, Unitized Curtain Wall Systems are considered to be superior as the units are
manufactured in a climate controlled environment.

For this project the following are the specifications of the Unitized System:

Finish Powder Coating 60 – 70 microns

Shade As per Client and Architect approval
Glass DGU Glass
8 mm thick Performance Glass HS + 16 mm Air Gap + 8 mm thick Clear Glass HS

 Vertical Aluminium Fins

Aluminum vertical fin hold with Aluminum bracket and nut bolt/screw, bracket connects to main frame
Male-Female Unitised system on vertical direction.

Fin bracket will fixed during Glass Panel fabrication only vertical box profile will be fix on site after panel
installation.

Finish:
Aluminium fin profile to be PVDF coating 40 microns because expose to weather, if the powder coating
treatment will be done there is chances of discolor.

 Openable Top Hung Window

As per NBC norm openable window is MUST at every ten meters height. For making the openable window
aluminium outer/shutter profile will be used along with multi locking system make: Giesse, Alualpha,
Cotswold, G-U

Finish:
Aluminium fin profile to be Powder coating 70 microns matching with Unitised System color.

 Fire Smoke Seal

120 minutes Fire rating smoke seal will be fixed on gap between Unitised façade and RCC slab/beam at
spandrel level to prevent the fire from one floor to another floor. Make: Siderise

 Patch Fitting Entrance Door

Double leaf patch fitting door will be fixed at main door entry with 12mm thick clear glass.
Patch fitting door machine/system make: Dorama, Ozone,

 Frameless Glass Railing

For fixing frameless glass railing, Extruded aluminium U profile will be fixed on RCC slab/up stand with
anchor fastener equal spacing as per design requirement and laminated glass will be glazed in U channel and
hand rail/cap will be fixed on top glass edge in horizontal direction. Glass railing Height minimum 1.2 meter
from floor finish level.

 Laminated Glass for Railing

8MM thick clear glass HS +1.52mm Sentry plus+8MM thick Clear glass HS.

Finish:
Aluminium Extruded profile to be PVDF coating 40 microns as it is exposed to the external weather
conditions.

B. Vertical/Horizontal Box Louvers

Aluminium box tube louver will be fixed at ODU/VRV area. Vertical/Horizontal tube will be fixed to RCC
slab/beam using MS HDG bracket, Anchor fastener, nut bolt, screw etc. also aluminium bird mesh is required
behind louvers.

Finish:
Aluminium box profile to be PVDF coating 40 microns as it is exposed to the external weather conditions.

C. Aluminium Box Railing

Aluminium box tube Railing will be fixed at terrace area. Vertical tube will be fixed to RCC slab using MS HDG
bracket, Anchor fastener, nut bolt, screw, rivet etc.

Finish:
Aluminium box profile to be PVDF coating 40 microns as it is exposed to the external weather conditions.

D. Glass Canopy

For fixing the Entrance Glass Canopy MS structure is required with SS tie rod and spider fitting
4way, 2way, 1way and routel will be fixed on MS structure for holding the laminated glass canopy.

All Spider fitting material shall be SS grade 316 Make- Dorama, Ozone and MS structure shall be PU
paint finish for better entrance aesthetics. Glass joint groove to be seal with DC 991 Weather
Silicone.

Laminated Glass
Canopy Laminated glass: 8mm thick clear glass FT +1.52mm Sentry +8mm thick clear glass FT bath
heat Soak.

E. ACP Cladding

For fixing the ACP cladding aluminium tube framing bracket, anchor, nut blot screw rivet and
silicone for groove filling are mandatory.
As per NBC norm ACP sheet will be 2 hours fire rated.
