Ungrateful hearts, they wear a mask,

Take and take, their motives a flask.

They forget the kindness, the love we share,
Leaving us wondering if they even care.

They'll drain your cup, then ask for more,

Ungrateful souls knocking at your door.
But I won't falter, won't lose my grace,
I'll rise above, wear my smile in place.

For in their shadows, I find my light,

Ungrateful hearts, they can't dim my fight.
I'll keep giving, keep spreading cheer,
Even when they turn away, insincere.

So here's to gratitude, a beacon bright,

Ungrateful souls, take flight, take flight.
I'll dance with kindness, my heart unswayed,
Ungrateful? Nah, not in my parade.
