The Vice-Chancellor, on the recommendations of the constituted Commitee, is
pleased to approve the following Schedule of Academic Calendar for University
Teaching Departments and Affiliated Colleges (except Law/Education Colleges and
Faculty of Engg. &Technology) for the academic session 2023-24:

Note: Practical Examinations wherever applicable, may be conducted after theory

The Common Annual Calendar for cultural and sports events to be prepared by the
Association of Indian Universities (AlU) willbe followed by the University.
NOTE:
() Every Saturday (for UTD's only) andSunday of every month will be holiday. If
the number of teaching days falls less than 180days in the academic session
2023-24 due to some unforeseen reasons, it will be the responsibility of each
teacher to make good the loss by taking extra classes for UTD's as well as
affiliated colleges.
(ii) One Minor Test will be mandatory for all the students be conducted for all the
UGC programmes being run by the University Teaching Departments as per
above schedule.However, if a student does not appear in Minor Test due to
Some unavoidable circumstances, the concerned teacher/Co-ordinator/
Chairperson of the Department may conduct Minor Test again for such a
student on his/her request, if the case is genuine.

Department/Cell/Club time to time.
Note:
1. The examination schedule is tentative, and the revised schedule may be circulated after the
notification of the affiliating university from time to time.
2. If due to some unforeseen circumstances, the number of teaching days falls less than 180 days (90
days in each semester) in the academic session, the concerned teachers will be responsible to
compensate the loss of teaching days by organizing extra classes.
