Possible points for inclusion:
1. Sweeney Todd was the worst of the three villains. Rasputin believed God was talking to him and he
tried to help the Tsar’s son. At first, Catherine tried to listen to moderate advisors and reach a
solution to the French Wars of Religion. But Sweeney Todd killed people because he wanted to make
money from their deaths and steal from his victims.
2. Catherine de Medici was born into a rich family. She had everything she needed. Sweeney Todd’s
family was very poor. Both Catherine and Sweeney became orphans at a very early age and this made
their lives very difficult. Both of them tried to learn new things and later they used these skills to hurt
others. Catherine learned how to make poisons and used them to kill people. Sweeney Todd learned
about knives and razors and used his knowledge to kill people.
3. Rasputin was an evil man with special powers. When he was a child, he held his brother under the
water and he later died from peumonia. As an adult, he used his powers to gain influence in the
Russian court. He took advantage of the Tsarina’s trust to dismiss some of his enemies from the court
and become rich. He was corrupt and led an unclean life. Rasputin was very religious, but he used his
religion to influence the Tsar and Tsarina.
