Building a Country House

About three months before our wedding, my husband and I bought a plot of
land for a country house. Initially, we were planning to buy an old house at an
affordable price. But the land was in a good location, relatively close to public
transportation. It also had a great view. So, we took out a loan and became
landowners.

First, we invested 50 million won to complete the basic structure of the house,
including the walls, ceiling, doors, and windows. After that, the two of us worked
for three years, completing the house bit by bit. My husband had experience
with electrical work and interior design from part-time jobs, which was very
helpful. I also pitched in diligently, and now our home is something we can be
proud of.

From the floor to the ceiling, there isn’t a single spot that we didn’t lovingly
make by hand. I hope to live happily ever after with my hardworking husband,
here in our precious home.

A : Did you do the planning and everything all by yourselves?

B : Yes, my wife and I studied together, and we did every last thing ourselves.

A : Is that even possible? I couldn’t even conceive of something like that.

B : We had a lot of ups and downs along the way, but it was possible.
