ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN EPP TLE

INTRODUCTION

EPP subject composed namely: Home Economics and Livelihood

Education where in everything about basic home management and
livelihood skills were taught to the pupils in Grades IV-VI. This school year
as one of the teachers of this subject I found it difficult yet exciting to teach
despite the less eagerness of some pupils in my class. But eventually I saw
them being inspired and active especially in times of various activities.

Having EPP subject in the new curriculum is a vital foundation of the

learners in elementary, teaching them the basic skills like sewing, cooking,
gardening and so many others. These things will be continued when they
reach high school and to be able to maximize their skills as the time passes
by especially in k- 12 curriculum wherein it is more focus on the skills of
the pupils to be developed leading to them to have a job immediately when
they graduated in the senior high school.

Problem Encountered
How can I give enrichment within the classroom to students who are ready
to think more deeply about the content?
How can I provide slow readers the appropriate remedial activity without
compromising the quality time of instruction for other learner?
How can issues regarding lack of references be addressed?

Recommendation

Focus on presenting lessons through significant types of teaching strategies.

Have students record their ideas, strategies, and questions. These could be
a spiral notebook that the students keep or a binder. Students could also
write their responses to writing/reasoning prompts.
Employ role playing, simulation, peer tutoring and learning barkadas during
activities.
Provide enough visual and teaching devices.

Conclusion

Teaching EPP is an important vehicle for the pupils to learn the basic
skills in Home Economics and Livelihood Education. Through this subject, I
think pupils will be equipped primarily of the skills they have to acquire like
learning the simple procedure on how to cook, sew, or even in gardening.
With these, we can say that there’s a vital role in making the curriculum
more comprehensive than before
