MODULE 1 . DEPED MANDATE, VISION, MISSION, GOALS AND CORE VALUES, AND STRATEGIC
DIRECTION.

1. What is the impact of the Department Mandate, VMV and Strategic Directions in your
vocation as a teacher? How can your understanding of DepEd’s Mandate and VMV
provide impact to your work as a teacher?
The Department Mandate, VMV and Strategic Directions gives essential impact
to me as a teacher because it helps me recognize my role as a teacher especially in
promoting a learner-centered environment. It serves as a guide for me on how to be
fully equipped with the ideas and strategies in the success of the delivery of teaching
process and in inculcating life-long learning.
2. What are your personal beliefs and values that are aligned with the DepEd’s VMV?
Being practical, innovative, and creative in designing my lesson and choosing
the best activities that will address students’ individual differences in a safe environment
that caters life-long learning.

3. How can you contribute to improve quality and relevance in education?

Coming into battle prepared is always the key in providing success. We teachers
are soldiers with our lesson plan and books as weapon in battling for quality education.
As a teacher I should always keep in mind that I must be equipped and guided with the
best tools and strategies that I am going to use in delivering instruction to my students.
And that is by carefully preparing my lesson plan. I should also make sure that it is
aligned with the MELCS or the Curriculum guide. In that way I will know which
competency to use in carrying lesson without compromising the quality of the learning
process.

MODULE 2 . SPIRITUALITY IN TEACHING AND SCHOOL CULTURE

1. What keeps me alive and enthusiastic in teaching?

The eagerness of the students to learn fuels my passion in teaching.

2. What meaningful experience have I gone through lately?

I have learned to be adaptive and flexible in delivering the lesson to my

students. As we all know, there is a sudden shift in the mode of instruction of
teaching due to this pandemic. But this situation did not hinder me to grow
professionally. Hence it allows me to be strategic and to be resourceful in terms
of creating ways on how am I able to teach students considering that they are not
in the actual classroom set-up.

3. What makes me love teaching?

Every child thinks about what to do when they grow up, and every child
changes their mind about a hundred times. When I was young, I really wanted to
be a teacher. And I said to myself that one day I will be a teacher. And look at
now, I am already a professional teacher. And It is overwhelming on my part as a
teacher to see students well dedicated to learn.

4. What has teaching taught me as a teacher?

I realized that teaching requires our full dedication, love and compassion on
our profession and learners because it is not an easy job. Becoming a teacher
is also becoming a student. As a teacher we should allow ourselves to constantly
look for opportunities that will help us to grow professionally. As the saying goes
“you cannot give, what you do not have”.

MODULE . CONTEXTUALIZATION, LOCALIZATION, AND INDIGENIZATION OF RESOURCE

MATERIALS WITH RPMS-COT

1. In what concrete ways does the session help you become a more agentic/
empowered teacher, aligned to the standard domain?

After joining the session, I learned that the connection of students and teacher
is important in teaching and learning process. Because Education is not a
process that we can handle alone. We can’t carry the burden of learning by
yourself. As a teacher, we need to make sure that our students are open to
cooperation to achieve meaningful learning. Also , in terms of delivering
instruction or activities, we should make sure that we contextualized our
resources so that we will get the best outcome from our students.

2. Considering your current situation in our school, how can you make your
teaching more meaningful and relevant and useful to the learners?

Dealing with the varied learners pose great challenge to teachers. In order to
make teaching meaningful, we need to give them applicable, authentic, and valuable
lesson. Changing our strategies according to the learners’ need is one way of doing
that. Also, engaging them to realistic activities that may allow them to apply their
learning into action will truly help them to have life-long learning.

MODULE : POLICY GUIDELINES OF ASSESSMENT, AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

1. How do you view Formative Assessment as assessment of learning and

assessment as learning?

When we say Formative assessment as learning and of learning, we are

trying to monitor progress towards achieving learning objectives. By having this
assessment we’re able to identify the strength and weaknesses of students about
a lesson and we allow the students to have immediate feedback about their
progress. It is also helpful on our part as teachers because we’re able to modify
our strategies in delivering lesson and we’re able address misconception,
struggles, and learning gaps along the way and assess how to close tho\ese
gaps.

2. Make a Plan of how Collaborative Formative Assessment be carried out to meet

the challenges of new normal?

Even though in many places it is currently not possible for teachers and students to
come together in the same space, it is necessary for teaching and learning to continue to
avoid learning losses and to stay on track in decreasing learning poverty. Formative
assessment can help all students to continue along their learning trajectory, providing
them, their parents, and their teachers with the necessary information to support the
learning process, albeit from a distance
In the asynchronous form, where students and teachers are separated by both space
and time, online tools such as Google Classrooms and Moodle can help teachers to
provide feedback to students through questions, tasks, activities, and quizzes. Various
online applications such as Recap: Video Response and Reflection for
Education, WURRLYedu, and Screencastify can be used to record performance tasks
created by students and shared with teachers. Especially for younger students, parents
also need specific guidance on how to communicate the results of formative assessment
to teachers. These instructions should be made available in electronic and/or printed
form and emailed or mailed to homes or made available for pickup from the school or
other designated location.

MODULE : CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT, CHILD PROTECTION AND ANTI-BULLYING

1. What are the teaching practices of your elementary/high school/college teacher

that you love most? Which practice/s do you think you could replicate now that
you are a teacher?

Having a sense of humor and maintaining good communication skills to the

students as well as to the parents.
As a teacher I wanted to be a teacher with a sense of humor in teaching? Why ?
As we all know, creating a light and enjoyable environment as you teach is
challenging.

2. After learning strategies on classroom management in this session ….

I will stop being a negative thinker

I will continue to be resourceful and determined in everything that I am doing
I need my Immediate coach to help me in boosting my self esteem in showing
what I have within me.
3. How will you help address problems on bullying in your classroom?

Creating a safe environment and showing our care and love to every
learner. We should help them understand that bullying is not tolerated and will be
addresses in our classroom. We can also adapt the 3R in terms of the issue
about bullying which is RECOGNIZE, RESPOND, REPORT.

4. What teaching strategies will you use to create a safe and motivating
environment?

First thing to have a safe and motivating environment is to have a clean and
orderly classroom. Another thing is to set rules or create law inside the
classroom. But this law should be from the students and the teacher not from the
teacher alone. Lastly is to allow students to be openly expressive and
encouraging to others.
