Revisit the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) found in the LDM2 Course
Overview. Reflect on your self-assessment from Activity

1. What particular professional standards in the PPST do you need to focus on to effectively use the
LDMs in relation to the content and pedagogy of the learning area/s you are teaching? Write your
answer and other insights in your Study Notebook.
I think I will have to have focus on Domain 2 (LEARNING ENVIRONMENT) and Domain 3
(DIVERSITY OF LEARNERS) of PPST standards. Since everything will be quite new both
for me as a teacher and to learners also, I believe that handling individual differences and
applying differentiated learning techniques in order to address learning gaps among students
will be the first and foremost concern that I will need to focus on. I will also have to consider
the environment the learners have as this will have great effect on their level of acquiring and
mastering knowledge and skills.

Development Priorities and the Continuing Professional Development Guidelines.

 How do you envision your teaching practice in the next few months as you use the LDM
adopted by your School?

I envision my teaching practice to be most likely similar to my first year in practicing the
profession. There were some gray areas that still needs to learn and understand and eventually
carry on. This is not something that we have learned in college, this is not also the way we
practice our profession many years ago. But I still envision it to be challenging and being a
teacher prepared to always embrace changes and accept challenges, I know that we will carry
on with the new normal in teaching.

 What is your goal in terms of your teaching practices in the modalities?

My goal in terms of my teaching practices in the modalities is to be equipped with enough


knowledge and skills in delivering instructions under the new normal.

 What motivates you to achieve this goal? What do you think will help you attain this goal?

One that motivates me in this goal is the fact that we are teachers, and teachers are very
flexible. We can always adapt ourselves to changes. Education under the new normal is just
one of those changes.

2. Communicate with your assigned Instructional Coach to provide you a list of Regional and
Division Training Programs in your area.

3. Accomplish the Individual Development Plan Template by referring from your output in Lesson 1
Activity 3 of this Module.

ACTIVITY 2.
Refer to your PD objectives and decide on what topics you would like to talk about in your School
LAC. Use the PD Discussion Template in your discussion.

1. In your LAC Session, share your answers to Lesson 1 Activity 3 and Lesson 2 Activities 1 and 2.
Take note of all insights and advice from your colleagues. Make adjustments in your plan
accordingly.

2. Submit your accomplished IDP and LAC Plan to your LAC Leader and your School
Head/Department Head. Make sure that you keep a copy of your Plans.
