comes to learning .it is crucial to take that into consideration as this will help further the
success of the teaching environment remember you are a role model and showing a
lack of parents will only reflect on the teacher in a negative way showing the students
the teacher own personal shortcomings .another factor to role on patience is that a
patient teacher is likely to be more adaptable to different teaching environments

learning either forward too closely or stepping too far away from the webcam ,or
yawning.

Additionally , it is important to attend both an interview and a virtual class on time

.we recommend that teacher enter the classroom setting at least to minute prior to the
class’s starting time .this gives teacher the necessary time needed to test their
equipment ,and to warm up with student who join the classroom setting early. This also
means that teacher are expected to end the class act the time that it ends and not
earlier .teacher are also required to have no absences make sure to watch out for the
time zone differences ,and keep in mind that china does not have daylight saving is to
engaging students with in the learning process.

that he or she will presenting .in our platform her at OET jobs , teacher have the ability
to preview their class materials in the classroom on the teacher portal . Teacher can do
this 6-12 hours in advance prior to their class .Preparation gives teacher the time to
effectively set clear and realistic expectations .This way teacher can communicate
these expectation s to their students in a more constructive manner.

8. DISCIPLINE SKILLS- to answer what makes a good teacher , one has to

really take discipline into mind . A teacher who has strong and effective discipline skills
will be able to promote positive behaviour with in the classroom.
Maintaining classroom discipline is important for creating a positive learning
environment which promotes learning .Teacher can do this by expressing and
maintaining a list of classroom.

9. KID FRIENDLY TEACHING ENVIRONMENT-having a kid friendly teaching

environment in your classes is truly a must .As a teacher this you will want to set you
are your student role model the best example that there is possible .This means that
teacher should not eat smoke or drink alcohol at any time during their class

Additionally teacher must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Going against this not only disrupts the classroom system and setting but it could
cause serious harm to the student well-being both physically and psychologically.

Teacher are expected to wear proper professional teaching attire that is

appropriate for teaching environment .It is to keep in mind that a teacher is a reflection
of the organization that he or she is working with and for.

and most importantly in life . teacher cannot threaten ,mock ,insult or tease children in
any shape or form .Doing so is bullying , and is disrespecting not only the student ,but
yourself and the classroom .It is critical to be respectful to each and every student ,as
well as the teaching environment as a whole .Showing any disrespectful is not only
damaging to a child psychology, but can also danger your job and , teacher who treat
their with disrespect could become blacklisted . The ESL circle tends to be smaller than
most might think it to be .Internal recruits are also known to open move around
different ESL companies It is crucial to be respectful and responsible for your action as
an individual and most importantly as a teacher.
Apart from respect in relation to student and the teaching environment it is critical
to show respect to the company that you are working for by making sure to not speak
in dispraise of the company .Popular savings worldwide claim that respect is something
which its earned rather than given .If you are respectful teacher, you will most likely be
treated with respect by both your company your co-works and most important your
students .it is important to treat your students with the same respect that you expect
than to treat you with .

Don’t forget that after all you really are the role-model for your students.
How do you utilize your personal good qualities as a
good teacher if you will be on the field of teaching?

I will be utilize my good qualities as a teacher through the skills needed for effective
teaching involve more than expertise in an academic field .I must be able to interact
with people and help them to understand a new way of looking at the world this is not
an easy job !although there are many different ways to teach effectively , good
instructor have several qualities in common .they are prepared , set clear and fair
expectation , have a positive attitude , are patient with students and assess their
teaching on a regular basis.

They are able to adjust their teaching strategies to fit both the student and the
materials recognizing that different ways .as a teacher I am role model who set the
time of the class .If am able to enthusiasm and commitment my student are more likely
to reciprocate.

Keep my student with a positive attitude .teaching is most affective when students are
motivated by the desire to learn rather than by grades or degree of requirements
.Learning teaching are challenging but that does not mean that I can’t have fun in the
classroom .stay focused but don’t be afraid to be creative and innovative .I will allow
myself to be enthusiastic and find ways to let the student see what is interesting about
my subject.

I have a plan for what of want to teach .I choose the most important concept and show
how they related .I help my student understand and use new terminology so they can
become fluent in the language of discipline I’ll be patient with myself .Teaching can be
difficult and frustrating at times .I give myself the same opportunity to make mistake
and learn from them .If they make a mistake or don’t know the answer, it is much better
to acknowledge rather than ignore it.
ACTIVITY 2
What is the Philosophy of education?

The philosophy of education examines the goals forms methods and meaning of
education the term is used to describe both fundamental philosophical and
analysis of these themes and description or analysis of particular pedagogical
approaches.

Philosophies of education have ravelled down a tree of branches .the first four
support branches of philosophy are the Idealist school the Realist school the
Pragmatist school and the existential school of thought(ORNSTEIN,2003,p.99)it
might help to look at the record its individual branches rather than read about
them.

IDEALISM-focuses on a subject matter curriculum emphasize the great ideas to

make them whole .

REALISM-A subject matter curriculum stressing objective knowledge and values

.reality is objective meaning everyone should obtain the same .results regardless
of what he does or how he consider concepts.

a. Perennialism-focuses on human concern that have caused concerns for

centuries revealed through great works.
b. Essentialism-rooted partially in idealism as well-emphasizes skills and
subject and that demonstrate the cultural heritage and contribute to
society .

PRAGMATISM-instruction is organized around problem –solving following the

steps of the scientific method-emphasizes the need tract on concepts by testing
them.

a. Progressivism-instruction features problem solving and group activities

the instructor acts as a facilitator as opposed to a leader.
b. Social Reconstructionism-instruction that focuses on significant social and
economic problems in an effort to solve them.

EXISTENTIALISM-classroom dialogues stimulates awareness-each person

creates an awareness gleaned from discussion and encourages deep
personal reflection on his or her conventions.

PERENNIALISM-perennialists are instructor who fell that knowledge that

has been passed through the ages should be continued as the basis of
the curriculum like the classic works of Plato and Enstein ,perennialist
those their teaching on reason logic and analytical though .only
information that stood the last of time is relevant .they do not illicit
student input .the classes most likely to be considered under this
approach would be history science math and religion classes (educational
philosophies in the classroom.)

POSITIVISM-the instructors whose teaching philosophies are based on

documented facts and tangible truths are normally those who would be
in the math and sciences departments.
These teachers do not fell the religion and the supernatural should be a
fast of the teaching process .the idea of uncertainty and the unknown is
considering illogical.

BEHAVIORISM-behaviorists believe in rewards and punishment as an

approach to controlling the teaching environment due to their believe in
the instinct nature of humans to react to internal or external this teacher-
centered system ultimately allow to the students to be controlled by the
educator who makes the environment pleasant or unpleasant depending
on the student –behavior.

ESSENTIALISM-essentialist believe that there is universal pool of

knowledge needed by all students .the fundamental of teaching are the
basis of the curriculum math science history foreign language and English.
Vocational classes are not seen as an necessary part of educational
training.
Classroom are formal teacher–centered and student are positive
learners .evaluators are predominately through testing and there are few
if any projects or portfolial .these instructors easily accept the No child
left-behind act because test score are the main form of education.

RECONSTUCTIONISM-this student-centered philosopy strives to instil a

desire to make the world better place it places focuses on controversial
world issues and uses current events as a spin and card for the teaching
process .these students are taught the importance of working together to
bring about change .these teachers incorporate what is happening in the
world with what they are learning in the classroom.

CONSTRUCTIVISM-active participation is the key to this teaching style

students are free to explore their own ideas and show concepts with one
another in non-traditional ways ”hands on activity .is the most effective
way of learning and is considered true learning”.

HUMANISM/EXISTENTIALISM-also a student-centered philosophy this

educational method is based on the idea that the students should be
presented with choices about the learning process .the student is
engaged in all aspect of learning and works together with the teacher and
her peers to develop a curriculum and evaluation system that allows for
individual interest and abilities
If you were to choose for your own philosophy .what
would be and how are you going to apply that
philosophy?

“My philosophy of education is about all children are unique and must
have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow
physically mentally emotionally and socially it is my desire to create this
type of atmosphere where student can met their full potential.
When the teacher role is to guide providing access to information rather
than primary source of information .the students search for knowledge is
not as they learn find answer to their questions .student to construct
knowledge they need the opportunity to discover for themselves and
practice skills in authentic situations.
Providing student access to hands on activities and allowing adequate
time and space to use materials that reinforce the lesson being studied
creates an opportunity for individual discovery and construction of
knowledge to occur.
As a student I know you have been a classroom with different teaching
since you were elementary in your observation .what are the common
philosophy of education your previous teacher used?

As I remember the philosophy of education usually used by the teacher

before the Behaviourism Essentialism Progressivism.
Behaviorism ,because student before need to punish the student if they
will make a mistake inside the classroom and the teacher before was used
authority discipline and no one can question it because they authorized
by the law in order that student will be obey all of the teachers said that
is why some student before felt discourage to finish their studies.
Essentialism because even if you are any of the vocational course it is not
enough for finding the adequate jobs or even qualify in any sustainable
work .teacher before used spoon feeding strategy for teaching some
curricularist believe that kind of approach doesn’t essential for the better
learning of student and for their progression in terms of learning and
motivation.
ACTIVITY 3
How does a teacher operate or function in school
setting?

The primary role of teacher is to deliver classroom instruction that help

student learn to accomplish this teacher must prepare effective lessons
grade student work and offer feedback manage classroom materials
productively navigate the curriculum and collaborative with other staff.
Broadly speaking the function of teachers is to help students learn
by imparting knowledge to them and by setting up a situation in which
students care and will learn effectively.
But a teacher fill a complex set of roles which vary from society to
another and from one educational level to another .some of these roles
are performed in the school some in the community .in these a rules in
which teaching has not yet become a profession the teacher may fill only
the first five of the school roles in the first and passively the second of the
community roles.
Teacher play vital roles in the lives of the student in their
classroom .teachers are best known to the role of educating the students
that are placed in their care-beyond that teachers serve may other roles
in the classroom .teacher set the tone of their classroom build a warm
environment mentor and nurture students became role models and listen
and looks for sign of trouble.
How will a teacher manage the learning environment in the school
setting?

Classroom management is very important aspect of teaching .once your

get your classroom management strategies together you will find that
teaching is a pleasure and your students will excel at learning .this article is
designed to give you a few tips that will help you with your classroom
management strategies.
Get prepared .you must be prepared each time you walk into your
classroom .children know when their teacher has done their homework and
they respect the fact that the lesson each day you should carefully plan your
day by developing a daily schedules well as a lesson plan that is closely
aligned to the stipulations provided by the school district.
Make your room attractive .you should work to have an attractive room that
you as well as your students can appreciate and enjoy .this type of
environment set the time for learning so take some time to make your room
attractive and conducive to learning.
Set classroom roles .children need roles to follow plus you need guidelines
for your kids to follow in order to teach and get the most from the day .sit with
your students in the beginning of the year or anytime to design rules to live by
in your room as well as in other parts of the building.
Be enthusiastic about your lesson .when you teach a lesson teach it as if you
love what you are doing and be interactive with your students .and engage
them to participate .develop a method to call on each one of your students
and don’t let a few of your talkative ones dominate the class.
Be fair with your students .as a teacher if is necessary for you to be fair to all
of your students .make a point to always hear students out and treat each
one of your pupils with dignity and respect.
Keep good students record .when students do their work then work should be
graded and recorded in your grade book .this gives you an assessment of
how the children are doing as well as it shows you the areas that they need
help.
As a student teacher how are you going to manage a
good and effective classroom environment?

Teaching and learning do not happen in the vacuum .the

intersecting context of the learning environment work together to create
a dynamic ecosystem of physical virtual and cultural space .when manage
well all students have opportunity to thrive.
Examine the size and shape of the room the management of desk and
chairs and the classroom technology .think about who you can utilize the
space during class .move between rows lecture from the back, and
encourage student to choose different seats throughout the semester
.even in lecture halls consider ways to encourage student movement:
have student turn around for partner activities or assignment groups and
organize them in different section of the classroom.
If you were to choose between effective classroom
environment and conducive classroom environment what
will you choose? And why?

If I were to choose what should I must prefer between effective

classroom environment and conducive classroom environment I will
choose the conducive classroom environment because developing
classroom environment conducive to learning is a process that entails
staging the physical space getting the student to cooperate creating a
communal environment and finally maintaining a positive classroom
climate and culture “the quality of education not only depend on the
teacher as reflected.
How you will improve your school setting when a
teacher become?
I will improve my school setting if I will be a teacher someday ,first
start by writing my lesson plan on my right hand side of my teaching
notebook an reserving the left hand side for the comments and
reflection .question to ask myself and reflect on in writing might
include ,what work well I this class ,and ,why? what didn’t and why?
Where did the students seem to have difficulties? Where there any
noticeable points were the student seemed very engaged with the
material? What types of things may need greater clarification the next
time? Were any particular pedagogical strategies that seemed to work
well? What will I change the next time I teach this topics?
Also I think I need to dialogue with the faculty about teaching
various from department to department and from course to course ,many
faculty teaching courses with GSI hold weekly meetings .these meetings
should cover not only course logistics , but also pedagogical strategies for
teaching sections .As being to faculty what will be teaching and what
pedagogical technologies i will be used and ask them what areas of
teaching that I need to improve I think I need to know of my strength and
weaknesses in terms of teaching.
Becoming an effective teacher involves seeking out multiple sites
of input talks place in your class .this section is designed to provide me
with some suggestion about sources for dialogue and methods of
feedback.

ACTIVITY 4
What are the function of a teacher in a community? Why?
Teachers are truly the backbone of society they are role models to
children offer guidance and dedication and give young people the power
of education .because of teacher countries are able to further develop
socially and economically .Teachers simplify the complex and makes
abstract concepts accessible to students .teachers also students ideas and
topics that they might otherwise not have come into contract with they
can expand an interest and push their students to do better.
Teachers have the ability to shape leaders of the future in the best
way for society to build positive and inspired future generations and
therefore designed society .teachers have the most important role in the
world .these who have an impact on the children society have the power
to change lives not just for these children themselves but for the lives of
all.
Teachers provides guidance to students of all types .teachers are
able to see child’s strength weaknesses and can provide assistance and
guidance to either get them up to speed or just them higher .they are
also source of inspiration and motivation .teachers inspire student to do
well and motivate them to work hard and keep their academic goals on
track .because of teachers countries are able to develop socially and
economically .next time you or your community achieve something
great ,take a moment to think of and be great for the teachers who
made it possible.

Who is one significant community person who earns a

great respect of the community? Why?

As a young person it can be frustrating when you’re expected to

give respect and yet you don’t always receive the same respect in
return .that type of frustration is very understandable but there are
several reason this is so often the case.
First and foremost although it’s unfair the very fact that you’re
young plays a part in this equation .it’s wrong but others including many
adults don’t show the respect they should to the agers .this is no fault of
your own but try to understand that generally speaking the older you
get .the more respect you’ll receive .you have plenty of time to earn that
respect.
For example we tend to respect those who’ve accomplished
significant or important things in their lives and such as good grades
participation in community activities doing something special at church or
in an interest group and playing sports well .these along with dozens of
other potential accomplishments can put more points on your respect
bucket.
Obviously the older you become the more opportunities you’re going to
have to accomplish such thing .these are small but important steps
towards reaching some of the major goals you may have for your life .so
relax start now an your time will come.
If we would all attain the appropriate level of self-respect have
and show respect for all others and live so others will respect us the
world be a harmonious place to live .there would be so hatred .no
violence and no wars .indeed we would live in a world of peace.
‘’At same point you have to realize that you have to earn the right to be
respected .it is not given without reason .it is earned’’.
