Aerostat is the most cost-effective surveillance alternative compare to other
types of surveillance platforms, such as airplanes, helicopters, UAVs and Drone.

Well-suited for continuous round the clock monitoring of area of interest such as
border and coastal aerial surveillance applications. They can be deployed
along borders or coast line to provide 24/7 surveillance coverage to detect
and deter illegal border crossings, human trafficking, drug smuggling,
contraband and other criminal activities.

Advantages
1. Cost-effective.
Much cheaper to operate and maintain compared to any other
alternatives. Requires only 3 crews to operate (9 crews for three shifts 8 hours
each) to provide a continuous round-the clock surveillance.

It also minimize the need for patrolling. Enforcement team will be on standby
and ready to intercept once target is detected.

2. Endurance.
Can stay airborne for much longer periods (can be several weeks depending on the sensor used) than other types of surveillance
platforms. This makes it ideal for long-term surveillance operations with round the clock monitoring.

3. Persistence.
A mobile system, so it can easily be deployed to any location, in a variety of different environments. This makes ideal for border
security surveillance operations.
