We’re writing to acknowledge receipt of your valid Notice of intent to claim a

tax deduction for personal super contributions form on 19 March 2024. This
relates to personal contributions of $129,500.00 credited to your account
in the 2022-23 financial year of which you’ve notified you intend to claim
$84,312.00 as a tax deduction.

What happens next

You’ll need to provide this acknowledgement when you complete your next
tax return for the financial year relating to your personal contribution.
If the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) disallows your deduction when they
review your tax return, you can vary your notice and reduce the amount
claimed by the amount not allowable (for example, even to $0).
Please note that you’re able to vary your notice via your online account at
unisuper.com.au.
In some instances, you’re unable to vary a previous valid notice, and this
may result in an additional tax liability.
For example, you can’t vary a previous valid notice if we no longer hold the
contribution covered by that previous notice; you’re no longer a UniSuper
member; or we’ve started paying you an income stream (pension) using all
or part of the contribution covered by the previous notice.
If the amount you want to claim as a tax deduction is not available (for
example, due to a payment or rollover), we will process the maximum
amount available.
