Weight Management
It is a weight disagreement between Seller & Courier Partner OR Weight dispute is an issue occurring between a Seller
and the Courier company for the charged weight of the shipment. Usually, the Seller disagrees with the weight charged by
the Courier Partner.
For example, the courier has charged 1.5 kg for a 1 Liter Herbal Juice but as per the Seller it should be 1 kg, so the difference of
0.5 kg is the disputed weight.
Both seller and the courier partner are required to justify and submit proofs to resolve the dispute.
Dead Weight - Dead weight is the actual weight captured by a weighing machine.
Volumetric Weight- Volumetric Weight is captured by measuring the dimensions of the item such as length, breadth & the
height in centimeters. After measuring the LBH, it needs to be calculated as Volume(Cubic Ft) * Charged CFT
Volume(Cubic Ft) = LBH(in Cm)/27000
Maximum of Dead Weight or Volumetric Weight is charged by the courier company as per
the industry norms, which is charged to shipper also.
