The problem addressed in this project is the need to reduce waste volume and optimize waste

management processes in households, restaurants, and other related establishments. The accumulation
of empty cans, bottles and other containers in these settings poses a challenge to waste disposal and
contributes to the degradation of the environment. The design and fabrication of a can crusher presents
an effective solution to this problem by reducing the bulk of cans, thus reducing the volume of waste
generated. The design must cater to the need for efficiency, safety, ease of use and maintenance, and
affordability. In addition, the materials used for fabrication must be readily available, durable, and cost-
effective. The project aims to address the problem of waste management by implementing an
innovative solution that meets the requirements of different users and has the potential for mass
adoption.
