States: Toward making public budgets more equitable, efficient and effective to achieve the SDGs
on November 24th, 2022, the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is
organizing a technical meeting on Tunisia Social Expenditure Monitor (SEM) in UN House, Beirut,
Lebanon on the 23rd and the 25th of November. It is our great pleasure to invite you to this technical
meeting, as suggested by the SEM focal person of Tunisia in Ministry of Finance and the SEM
coordinator in Tunisia from Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation.

The technical meeting presents an opportunity for ESCWA SEM team to update the data for
latest budgets of Tunisia, as discussed during the launch of the SEM in Tunisia, 12-13 September
2022.

In this regard, ESCWA will cover the cost of travel and accommodation as per UN rules and
regulations. We greatly appreciate your kind acceptance of the invitation.
