CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality agreement
regarding all their cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect to a crime asked you
for some documents that are in your office’s possession that may help him in his case. How
would you deal with the situation?

- I believe It’s my job to keep the confidential informations because as police or a person
who have a job at law firm I have to secure it, even if we are friends I still have to do my
job professionally. So by dealing in this kind of situation, his/her wish to have the
information I will not grant it, because when I enter this kind of job, I have to set aside
my relationship to others even if they’re the suspect.
