GROUP ASSIGNMENT ON RATIO ANALYSIS

1. You are required to form a group of 3-4 (max) members.

2. Each of group needs to choose ONE COMPANY from the list of companies according to the
specific industry that are assigned.. Please ensure that the company chosen are not same with
other groups. I will apply First come first serve policy.

3. You are required to download the relevant financial statements (balance sheets and income
statements) from the company’s website and take the 3 latest financial year (ie 2021, 2020,
2019). These financial statements need to be attached along with the answer as appendices.

4. All workings/ calculation must be attached as appendices.

5. Calculate ratios from each categories of the ratios namely:

i) LIQUIDITY – current ratio, quick ratio, net working capital

ii) EFFICIENCY – ACP, FATO, ITO
iii) LEVERAGE - DR, Debt to equity, Time interest earned
iv) PROFITABILITY - Net profit margin, Return on Asset, Return on Equity

6. Please arrange your write up according to the following sections (Based on the template)
i) Introduction – Brief introduction about the selected company (maximum 2 pages).
ii) Trend analysis for the company.
iii) Conclusion – evaluate the company performance and make a conclusion (1 page)
iv) Appendix – please attach the balance sheets and income statements ONLY that you have
referred to.
