Future: be going to
(be going to + the base form of the verb)
Be going to is used to talk about intentions, predictions and commands.
Examples:
Intentions:
I am going to be a singer when I finish school.
Predictions:
It´s going to rain in a few hours.
Commands:
You´re going to apologize to your aunt now!
Daily activities

Take a nap. Watch TV series. Travel to other cities.

Cook dinner. Go to college. Listen to music.

Time expressions:
In pairs, use the daily activities from the

talk about things you are going to do in the
future. Example:
This afternoon Next month
A — I´m going to walk the dog* this
afternoon.

Tomorrow morning In 10 years
B — I´m going to work out* this evening.

*Walk the dog: passear com o cachorro.

*Work out: fazer exercício.
In pairs, find out solutions for the problems below using be going to.

Ex.: This is my second failure in math tests this month.

Solution: I´m going to study more before the tests.

a) You and your friend missed an important explanation from the Math teacher.
b) You tried to make a cake, but there weren´t enough ingredients.
c) Your neighbors are playing videogame at midnight, and it´s very loud.
d) You are not carrying an umbrella, and it started to rain.
