Asurion is the most popular company in US to provide insurance to its client.

This includes
warranty, Service and claim for the different types of electronics that includes mobiles. It needed
an integrated business intelligence system that would provide both internal users, externals
partners and supply chain members for their warranty and Service information. We maintain that
information through Asset and Agreement. With the help of Asset and its Agreement information,
users can view performance of business. HEAP has different Source systems like DAL, DAX,
PEGA,.. We will read data from these systems to the common Staging area called as ODH and
from ODH to integrated layer called as HEAP integration and thus to different Data Marts like
Claim, Survey, Interactions, and so on... These Data Marts will help User's to view their business
performance.

Roles and responsibilities:

 Understanding the Requirements through the project related documents.

 Write Test cases for ETL testing by understanding Transformation rules.

 Write Simple & complex SQL Queries to execute the test cases.

 Performing the data load by using Informatica ETL tool from source to target table.

 Performing pre ETL check source feed availability (Flat files, XML, .CSV etc) and File formats
(File naming conversions, File header/footer, delimiter etc.)

 Performing ETL Check - Source to stage - Data validation - source data is extracted and loaded
into staging area.

 Performing Naming conversion, Structure validation checks for source to target table.

 Performing Rejected Records check - Records don't fulfil transformation rules.

 Performing Report Layout and format check as per design mock-up and Report features
validation.

 Reports containing Drill Through, Drill up and Drill down shall be identified from the report lot and
will be tested for its functionality of Drill Through by manually running the report in the GUI and
comparing the output with the Queries run on the DB.
