HISTORY AND ITS SOURCES

POST-TEST: Direction: Answer the following questions in the space provided.

1. What can you say about the quotation, “Study the past so that the history you write it
today; is something we could learn about tomorrow?” Can you give a specific situation
where you can apply this?
 In my own opinion, it is better to experience and to know about the past so that in
the present we are ready if ever we experience it again. My specific situation for
this is our situation now in Pandemic, of all people here in our country are
suffering of how they would go to work or where they can find money to give
their children something to eat, specially today because a lot of their children are
in school so they need to support their child on online learning module. It is same
to the quotation “Study the past so that the history you write it today; is something
we could learn about tomorrow?” it is good that we can experience more terrible
in life, so that if we could experience it again we already know what to do.

2. Why there is a need to know if the source is a primary or a secondary?

 We should know if it is primary or secondary, so that we are aware of what we are
reading. The primary are direct access to the subject of your research while
secondary provide information and commentary from other researches.

3. What will you do when you search on the internet for a related source? Compare it to
your past experiences in finding information.
 Before, when I was high school I always go to our library to research about the
topics that has been given to us of our teacher. But now I can easily search it,
browse everything that I want to know and it’s because the help of internet today.
Before it is hard how we can find answers or something that we wanted to know,
that’s why I always asked my mother on my assignments she is the one who
always taught me on everything.
