Test 3 Petropoulos Thodoris

A. Writing Task 2

The debate of having and enjoyable job or a job earing a lot of money, is a controversial issue.
Nobody can deny that a good salary is something everyone is searching for, so a well-paid job is
desirable for all of us. However, I am inclined to believe that having an enjoyable job has more
positive attributes.

First of all, it is often argued that having an enjoyable job is an essential way to ensure the good
living. Indeed, a good and creative work environment in the working hours, could held on a
happier life. This is clearly illustrated by maintaining a strong interest of the daily business. For
example, going to work and not get bored even if before arrival, planning the day to reach some
creativity goals, learning every day new things and not living in a routine basis, increasing
effectivity, are some strong aspects of choosing an enjoyable work.

Another point in support of my opinion is extended to an enjoyable job and focuses on the rest
hours of the day. A pleasant job and as a consequence an entertaining 8-hour part of the day,
will lead to less anxiety at the rest of the day. Leaving the office with the feeling that something
good was implemented today, without bad mood vibes could be maintained also in house. This
will guide the worker to fill the rest of the day with out of the job activities, spend worthwhile
with family and friends and be recharged for the next day.

However, it is claimed that a good job with the relative salary is an essential way to ensure the
good living. Admittedly, earning much money could help anybody to build a better life for their
own. For instance, people with good salaries and a materialistic view, are able to build their own
houses, making properties for the next generation, solving such a way many issues that
youngsters are facing when they are growing up. Nonetheless, my personal opinion is that all of
the above could be at some point be handled by earning an average amount of money.

All thing considered, although a job with a good payday could solve a lot of problems, I firmly
believe that living in a healthy working environment where the daily job could approach a
personal hobby. is preferable.

B. Writing Task 1

The line graph presents data on the percentage of UK population’s usage of television and radio
within a day, in 1992.

It can be seen clearly from the respective lines of the graph, that they presented opposite trends
between the hours of a day. In particular, the graph illustrated that radio audience was going up
spectacularly early in the morning with a peak at 09:00 and dropped gradually for the rest of the
day. On the other hand, it is shown that television’s trend was raised steadily at the first half of
the day and then dramatically increased at 21:00. Additionally, by observing the cumulative area
of each graph, the amount of the audience listened to radio was much less that the audience
preferred TV. Finally, a feature that stands out is the reasonable low figures of the UK audience
during sleeping hours, at night.

Overall, even though Television audience is higher throughout the day, both radio and TV had
their own audience with different peak hours.
