AP Psychology Exam Scoring Guide

On the AP Exam
Multiple Choice – Section I is worth 2/3rd (66.66%) of the total grade
Free Response – Section II is worth 1/3rd (33.33%) of the total grade

For class grades


Multiple Choice – Section I is worth 60% of the total grade
Free Response – Section II is worth 40% of the total grade

Section I Section II

[0.60 (correct/total) + 0.40 (correct/total)] x 100 = Total %

Grade on the AP Test Test % to Class Grade Exams are worth 100 points

113-150 75% and up 5 75% - 77% = 94 81% and up = A, A+
78% - 80% = 97 100
94-112 63% to 74% 4 63% - 64% = 83 67% - 68% = 87 71% - 72% = 90 B, B+, A-
65% - 66% = 85 69% - 70% = 89 73% - 74% = 92
80-93 53% to 62% 3 53% - 54% = 73 57% - 58% = 77 61% - 62% = 81 C, C+, B-
55% - 56% = 75 59% - 60% = 79
68-79 45% to 52% 2 45% = 60 47% = 65 50% = 70 D, C-
46% = 63 48% - 49% = 68 51% - 52% =72
0-67 Below 45% 1 0% - 15% = 20 16% - 30% = 35 31% - 44% = 50 F
