1. Explain the following terms and concept of arts such as .

a. Subject

- the main visual element or possible image that can be deduced from studying the

artwork . Any person, subject, location, or event that is depicted or described in an

artwork is considered the subject of the artwork.

- refers to the visual focus or the image that may be extracted from examining the

artwork; the “what” . It refers to any person, subject, scene or event described or

represented in an artwork . The subject of an artwork can be identified by analyzing its

content .

b. Meduim

- refers to the materials used by an artist to create an artwork . It is the substance that

the artist manipulates to produce the desired effect . The medium can be anything

from paint, clay, charcoal, ink, or even digital media .

- mode of expression in which the concept, idea, or message is conveyed. It may be

concrete or tangible, such as paintings, sculptures, monuments, and structures; or it

may be ephemeral or something transient, such as a track (recording of sound), a film,

or a performance

c. Form

- refers to the way that a shape or object takes up space . It is one of the seven elements

of art, which are the visual tools that an artist uses to compose a work of art . Form is

used to describe the physical nature of the artwork, such as metal sculpture, an oil

painting, etc.

- medium of artistic expression recognized as fine art or an unconventional medium

done so well, adroitly, or creatively as to elevate it to the level of fine art .The

development and configuration of the artwork – how the elements and the

medium or material are put together; the “how

d. Content

- the meaning that is communicated by the artist or the artwork; the

“why”. In art refers to the meaning or significance and/or feeling imparted

by a work of art

- must be reiterated that there are various levels of meaning. Perhaps the most common is

what we call factual meaning. This pertains to the most rudimentary level of meaning for it

may be extracted from the identifiable or recognizable forms in the artwork and

understanding how these elements relate to one another.

e. Creativity

- What sets apart one artwork from another. A creative artist does not simply copy or imitate

another artist9s work. He does not imitate the lines, flaws, colors, and patterns in recreating

nature.

- It is often used to solve problems that have never occurred before, conflate function and

style, and simply make life a more unique and enjoyable experience.

f. Imagination

- one is able to craft something bold, something new, and something better allows endless

possibilities.

- an artist is able to craft something bold, something new, and something better in the hopes

of creating something that will stimulate change. In the same way that imagination

produces art, art also inspires imagination. L

g. Art Expression

- Theory that suggests that art reflects the inner state of the artist, rather than the

external world. It is the outer manifestation of an inner state, and it can be used to

convey messages and emotions to the public.

- Can convey messages and emotions to the public, and the resulting image or painting

can influence others in a profound way.
