Terms of Reference/Instructions
1. Secure a backing sheet on a drafting platform. After securing the backing sheet, secure a 15” x
20” tracing paper in landscape orientation on the said backing sheet. Make sure that the tracing
paper is oriented properly using a T-square and check for perpendicularity using a triangle and
a T-square.
2. Perform the “Title Block” as shown on the Title Block section of the Laboratory Plate Primer.
3. Perform the “Paneling” as shown in the Paneling Section of this guide. All measurements are in
millimeters. All lines for panels shall be drawn using a 0.80 mm Drawing Pen. Dimensions are
not necessary.
4. Perform the Contents of Panel 01 as shown below.
a. Figure out and draw the required figure below using the given shown beside it.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “PYTHAGOREAN TRIANGLE” on the Box below the panel using a
Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1 mm
d. Guidelines are required to be erased prior to submission. Dimensions will not also be
included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “LOTUS FLOWER USING SQUARES” on the Box below the panel
using a Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1 mm
d. Guidelines are required to be erased prior to submission. Dimensions will not also be
included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “PENTAGON BY ANGLE DIVISION” on the Box below the panel
using a Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1 mm
d. Guidelines are required to be erased prior to submission. Dimensions will not also be
included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “HEXAGONS BY ANGLES AND ARCS” on the Box below the
panel using a Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1
mm
d. Guidelines are required to be erased prior to submission. Dimensions will not also be
included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “HEPTAGON BY DIAMETER DIVISION” on the Box below the
panel using a Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1
mm
d. Guidelines are required to be erased prior to submission. Dimensions will not also be
included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “ELLIPSE BY PARALLELOGRAM” on the Box below the panel
using a Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1 mm
d. Guidelines and construction lines are required to be erased prior to submission.
Dimensions will not also be included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “ELLIPSE BY TWO CONCENTRIC CIRCLES” on the Box below
the panel using a Text height of 5 mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of
1 mm
d. Guidelines and construction lines are required to be erased prior to submission.
Dimensions will not also be included in the final output.
b. Label all points using a Text Height of 2 mm using a 0.30 mm Drawing pen.
c. Write the Drawing Title “PARABOLA” on the Box below the panel using a Text height of 5
mm using a 0.50 mm Drawing Pen with a line spacing of 1 mm.
d. Guidelines are required to be erased prior to submission. Dimensions will not also be
included in the final output.
12. Finalize the contents of each panel using the following Lineweights shown below.
0.10 mm Drawing Pen
0.30 mm Drawing Pen
0.50 mm Drawing Pen
0.80 mm Drawing Pen
13. Submit your best possible work to the instructor before the deadline. Follow the submission
procedures stipulated in the Laboratory Plate Primer.

Note: Expected output may vary from the actual due to the changes in the instruction. In the event that there is a conflict
between the expected output and the instructions, the instruction shall prevail.

Evaluation Criteria
The Exercise will be evaluated using the following criteria:
1. Panel Content and Titles (85 Points)
Panel contents shall be assessed based on these assessment points.
a. Figures shall be assessed based on their completeness, quality of line work which includes
the consistency of each line and variation of the line thickness as instructed, and line
accuracy.
b. Texts shall be assessed based on their completeness, accuracy of execution, and quality
of linework.
Points will be divided as shown below.
Panel 01 and 02 = 25 points Panel 05 and 06 = 20 points
Panel 03 and 04 = 20 points Panel 07 and 08 = 20 points
2. Paneling and Title Block (10 Points)
Paneling and Title block will be assessed based on its completeness and quality of works.
3. Instructions (5 points)
Instructions shall assess whether the submission process was followed or not.
Note: Deduction for late submission shall follow after the evaluation score has been computed.
