Skittle Scavenger
Today, you will be testing your 3M + R skills using Skittles! You will be collecting data about
the number of skittles you have in each color. There will be four rounds of scavenging for
Skittles—follow the directions below to learn more!
*If your Mean is a decimal, please round it to the nearest whole number. *
Now, use your information to find the Mean, Median, Mode, and Range of your data.
Now, use your information to find the Mean, Median, Mode, and Range of your data and your partner’s
data. (Hint: to find the Mean, you may need to divide by 10)
Now, combine your group with another group and collect data from each of them. First, write
your data and your partner’s data, and then add the data from each person in the group you
paired up with.

Round 4:
Now, combine your group of 4 with another group of 4. This time, use your combined data to

Use this information to find the Mean, Median, Mode, and Range of the number of each color Skittle
each group has.
When you have completed all four rounds of “scavenging,” complete a graph with
your data from round three. Your graph should display the total number of each
color of Skittles for your entire group of four. Each group of four should create
a name and label your graph appropriately. Please be sure the name of your
group is on the graph.
