Reset to zero
The RESET input enables the encoder to be set to the zero position.
It is actuated by applying an 11…30 V d.c. supply to pin 27 for more than 1 second.
Storage
The STORAGE input enables disconnection of the supply to the number of turns counter, in the event of the encoder being stored for a long period.
It is actuated by applying an 11…30 V d.c. supply to pin 31 for 1 second (pin 37 being connected to 0 V).
When powering-up the encoder for the first time, the backup is automatically actuated.
Encoder selection
The SELECT input allows encoder selection when several units are connected in parallel on the same data bus.
Encoder selected : apply 0 V potential to pin 28.
Encoder not selected : apply 11…30 V d.c. to pin 28.
Data locking
The LATCH input, particularly useful for high speed applications, enables the freezing of the encoder data output whilst reading the code.
Function actuated : apply 11…30 V d.c. to pin 29.
Function not actuated : apply 0 V potential to pin 29.
Important : In environments subject to electrical interference, it is recommended to earth the encoder base using one of the fixing screws.

Reset to zero
The RESET input enables the encoder to be set to the zero position.
It is actuated by applying an 11…30 V d.c. supply to pin 6 for more than 1 second.
Storage
The STORAGE input enables disconnection of the supply to the number of turns counter, in the event of the encoder being stored for a long period.
It is actuated by applying an 11…30 V d.c. supply to pin 7 for 1 second (pin 1 being connected to 0 V).
When powering-up the encoder for the first time, the backup is automatically actuated.
Important : In environments subject to electrical interference, it is recommended to earth the encoder base using one of the fixing screws.
