Problem Statement:
Electronic monitoring tools are available but not widely adopted due to limitations. These
include ineffectiveness in continuous monitoring and failing to counteract sophisticated
cheating techniques such as unauthorized device use or external assistance. Additionally,
verifying the identity of online examinees is challenging, raising concerns about
impersonation.
Existing e-proctoring solutions often lack technological sophistication and are not accessible
to all students. Moreover, these solutions face integration challenges with various learning
management systems (LMS) and educational platforms, underscoring the need for a more
effective, integrated proctoring system.
Project Scope:
Our project aims to develop a comprehensive system capable of conducting online
exams while monitoring student behavior. This advanced system will detect any
malpractices during exams, effectively replacing the need for physical supervision.
Aimed at schools, colleges, and universities, this system is set to uphold the integrity
and validity of exams. It reduces the reliance on physical proctors and exam centers,
making the exam process more accessible and efficient.
Our system is not just about the present but also the future, with plans for ongoing
enhancements. These include improving the test taker experience, easing access
with single sign-on, and ensuring flexibility to accommodate diverse needs.
A crucial aspect of this system is its adherence to data privacy standards and
regulations. The system will be designed with stringent data protection measures to
ensure the confidentiality and integrity of student information and exam content.
Compliance with international data protection laws will be a priority, making the
system trustworthy for institutions and examinees alike.
