Cấu trúc với Too to (Quá để làm gì)

S + to be + too + adj + (for somebody) + to + V

S + V + too + adv + (for somebody) + to + V

Eg: The food is too hot for us to eat.

He drove too quickly for anyone to catch him up

IV. Cấu trúc với Enough to: đủ….để có thể làm gì

Chúng ta có thể dùng enough với cả tính từ, trạng từ và danh từ. Với tính từ và trạng từ,
ta có hai cấu trúc sau (Enough đứng sau tính từ và trạng từ.)

S + V + adv + enough + (for somebody) + to + V

S + to be + adj + enough + (for somebody) + to + V

Eg:

 She is old enough to understand the story

 The boy is strong enough to lift the vase.

Lưu ý khi sử dụng cấu trúc enough

Với những lưu ý quan trọng này, các bạn nên thận trọng trong cách dùng enough.

 Nếu câu ban đầu đang chứa những phó từ chỉ cách thức như quite, very, so, too, a
lot of… thì phải bỏ các từ ngữ này đi.

Ví dụ: He can’t buy a new house

=> He doesn’t have enough money to buy a new house. ( Nếu chủ ngữ câu đầu là bổ ngữ
câu sau thì phải bỏ bổ ngữ câu sau đi.)

Ví dụ: The water is quite cool. I can drink it. (Nước khá mát. Tôi có thể uống nó)

=> The water is cool enough for me to drink. (Nước đủ lạnh để tôi uống)
  Nếu 2 câu có cùng chủ ngữ thì câu có enough sẽ bỏ cụm từ “for somebody”

Ví dụ: John is good. He can design a house.

=> John is good enough to design a house.
