Steps to use Shares as Margin on Mobile App

1. In the Equity Section, go to Shares as Margin and Select “Pledge and Create Limit” and
confirm as shown below
2. Select where you want to Pledge & Allocate to: Equity /F&O /Net Withdrawal Balance
3. On clicking the desired option (say Equity), a message will be displayed saying
“Successfully placed your Pledge Request” (as shown in the screenshot).
4. You will shortly receive a link in SMS and email from the Depository on your mobile
number and email ID respectively registered with the Depository. Click on the link and
enter PAN details.
5. After logging in, you can see stock requested by you for pledging. Please select the stock
to provide pledge confirmation.
6. On confirming, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile no. and email ID which
you should submit. Please enter OTP to verify pledge request.
7. Now you can check status of pledge request in the status book on your ICICIdirect mobile
app. Your recent pledge request will be show “in process” status
