Social skills are one of the most noticeable skill deficits that children with autism display. It is common for
parents to detect this symptom first because as humans we are social by nature. When a child does not see social
interactions as reinforcing it indicates that they may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This does not mean
children with autism do not value their relationships, it means they do not understand them. The sooner a child with
autism is taught the reinforcing qualities of social interaction the better their long-term outcome will be.
Children with autism will display their level of understanding social interaction in different ways. Commonly
young children with autism will avoid eye-contact, fail to babble or point, not respond to language, have a preference
of playing alone, and will not engage in pretend play. However, not all children with autism show a severe lack of
social skills. They can still show a great interest in social relationships but may not understand how to engage in them.
As children with autism get older it is challenging for them to understand emotions or the perception of others.
These social skills always have to be taught to enable the person with autism to fully understand their social world.
With treatment children with autism are able to learn how to express their own feelings and engage with others.
Without treatment people with autism often feel very isolated which can lead to anxiety or depression in their
adolescent years.

We need to eat to meet our nutritional needs, but people often make their food choices for reasons other than nutrition.
The availability of foods and their cost, the taste and appearance of foods, personal food likes and dislikes, convenience,
religious and cultural practices and traditions, health and medical conditions, etc. are reasons why people eat the foods
that they eat.
The foods in people’s diets around the world are very different from each other, but all good diets must be composed of
a variety of different foods that provide all of the food energy and other nutrients in the amounts needed. For most
people, a good meal will be based on a starchy food, sometimes referred to as a “staple” food, as it forms the basis or
main portion of the meal, and a variety of other foods (side dishes) that provide the additional protein, vitamins and
minerals needed for a good, healthy diet.
Staple foods are usually starchy carbohydrates such as rice, pasta, bread, couscous, maize (corn), potatoes, and foods
made from wheat, rice, rye, barley or oats. The other foods eaten with the meal should include generous amounts of
vegetables and fruits; good amounts of legumes; smaller amounts of meat, poultry, eggs or fish and milk and milk
products, such as cheese and yoghurt. The greater the variety of side dishes served with the staple food, the greater the
chance that all the needed nutrients are included in the meal.

Over the past 600 years, English has grown from a language of few speakers to become the dominant language of
international communication. English as we know it today emerged around 1350, after having incorporated many
elements of French that were introduced following the Norman invasion of 1030. Until the 1600s, English was, for the
most part, spoken only in England and had not extended even as far as Wales, Scotland, or Ireland. However, during the

slave trade), colonization, and missionary work. Thus, small enclaves of English speakers became established and grew
in various parts of the world. As these communities proliferated, English gradually became the primary language of
international business, banking, and diplomacy. Currently, about 80 percent of the information stored on computer
systems worldwide is in English. Two-thirds of the world’s science writing is in English, and English is the main
language of technology, advertising, media, international airports, and air traffic controllers. Today there are more than

Education is another area of social life in which information technology is changing the way we communicate. Today's

wonders of virtual reality, they can participate in lifelike simulated experiences and consider the following scenario of the
future of education made possible through developments in information technology.
For children over the age of 10, daily attendance at schools is not compulsory. Yet, some of the older children attend school
only once or twice weekly to get tutorial support or instruction from a teacher. For the most part, pupils are encouraged to
work online from home. Students must complete a minimum number of study hours per year; however, they may make up
these hours by studying at home at times that suit their family schedule. They can log on early or late in the day and even
join live classes in other countries. In order to ensure that each student is learning adequately, computer software will
automatically monitor the number of hours a week each student studies online as well as students’ learning materials and
assessment activities. Reports will be available for parents and teachers. The software can then identify the best learning
activities and condition for each individual student and generate similar activities. It can also identify areas of weak

face as I played and the bruises and scratches from falling down. I can still see the blue sky fading to darkness behind

Today, millions of people want to learn or improve their English but it is difficult to find the best method. Is it better
to study in Britain or America or to study in your own country?
The advantages of going to Britain seem obvious. Firstly, you will be able to listen to the language all the time.
You will be surrounded completely by the language wherever you go. Another advantage is that you have to speak the
language if you are with other people. At home, it is always possible to speak Vietnamese if you want to and the learning
is slower.
On the other hand, there are also advantages to staying at home to study. You don’t have to make big changes to
your life. As well as this, it is also a lot cheaper than going to Britain but it is never possible to achieve the results of
living in the UK. If you have a good teacher, I think you can learn in a more concentrated way than being in Britain
without going to a school.
So, in conclusion, I think that if you have enough time and enough money, the best choice is to spend some time
in the UK. This is simply not possible for most people, so being at home is the only viable option. The most important
thing to do in this situation is to maximize your opportunities: to speak only English in class and to try to use English
whenever possible outside the class.

Pollution can be seen not only throughout the world, but also in our own homes. It comes from household chemicals,
the amount of water people use and the waste people produce and throw away. What can be done to stop this pollution?
Surprisingly, a person can help save the environment by doing simple things.
First, we need to recycle, which allows products to be used over and over again. Recycling can also reduce the
number of trees cut down to produce paper products. It takes very little effort. It is not hard to place plastic and glass
bottles, aluminum cans and paper in a bin. Anyone can do it.
Second, we need to watch the amount of water used in the home. It can be conserved by taking short showers instead
of baths, repairing leaky faucets, using the dishwasher or washing machine only when fully loaded, or simply turning
the faucet off while brushing your teeth.
Third, we need to reduce waste. We need to recycle whenever possible, but should also try to use this waste
effectively. For example, grass clippings and food scraps can be made into compost for plants. The average person
produces 4.3 pounds of waste every day, but we can reduce that amount by recycling and reusing.
If we do our part in our own homes, we can help keep the planet from becoming more polluted.
