CRIMINAL CONFERENCE MEETING

23 September 2022

1. General details for the conference:


 Either DG of BPRD or retired CJI to take the Preliminary Session
 The number of parallel sessions is to be decided depending upon the number of papers
 Parallel sessions should follow the same theme
 There should be 5- 6 papers being presented at every session and if need be, depending
on the topics or number of papers, more than one paper may be clubbed together
 There should be 2 plenary sessions on each day. The first one should be from 10 am- 11
am and the second should be from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. (timings might change subject to
circumstances )
 Every room should have 1 Chairman and 1 Co- Chairman
 There should be 1 senior Professor and 1 practitioner present at each session
 There might be a keynote speaker at each session
 Panel responsible for giving out awards is to be provided with a separate room
 All the plenary proceedings would be recorded for YouTube
 Souvenirs to be arranged by Ankit Sir.

2. Day wise breakdown of the itenary:


Day 1:
 Registration to start from 8 am and the inaugural event to begin at 10:30 with a
minimum 15 minutes slot for VC sir’s speech.
 Justice Bagchi to deliver the keynote speech
 The inaugural session to continue till lunch
 The inaugural session to end with a strict 30- 40 minutes slot dedicated to the KR
lecture during which no other interactions are supposed to take place.
 A cultural programme to be arranged along with the Cultural Committee with some
gap between the two events. The programme should at 7pm and go on for a
maximum of 1.5 hours.
 Dinner to start at 8 pm and arrangement for the dinner should be made in front of the
fountain area.

Day 2:
 Plenary sessions are to take place throughout the day along with Q/A sessions.

Day 3:
 1 plenary session to take place
 Young scientist award to be included
 Valedictory session to follow

3. Arrangements to be made regarding papers:

 A committee is to be prepared to look over and control the quality of papers


 Good papers by seniors are to printed
 Abstract should be presented separately and in this abstract paper, 2/3 of the best papers
are to be published
