What strategies do you use to maintain discipline in your classroom?

1. I will create opportunities for students to think critically about their conduct and its
impact on the learning environment.
2. I used positive reinforcement and feedback to acknowledge and reward the students' good
behavior and academic achievements.
3. I implemented preventive and corrective strategies to maintain classroom discipline.
How do you ensure that your classroom environment promotes inclusivity and respect among
students?
I plan learning which includes participation from everyone. I can do this by creating an
environment which is personalized to students’ needs and by talking about learning that focuses
on what students can do and what they would like to do next.
What's your approach towards setting classroom rules and expectations?
My Rules should be simple and limited. Too many or too difficult rules will be easily forgotten
and/or ignored by students. The rules should be visible in the classroom for students to
reference when a reminder is needed.
How do you balance between being a friendly teacher and maintaining authority in the
classroom?
Finding the balance between being strict and being friendly with students is a delicate task for
teachers. It involves setting clear expectations and boundaries while also building positive
relationships. The strategies that I was used are First Acknowledge and praise students for their
achievements and good behavior and I enforced rules firmly, when necessary, but I do it with
kindness and understanding.

What is your philosophy on classroom management and student discipline?

I believe children deserve to feel comfortable in their learning space. I will provide as much
flexibility as possible, in terms of seating and movement, to accommodate their individual
needs. If students feel they have a say in their learning, they will be more cooperative and
willing to engage.
