INTRODUCTION

At the beginning of the third millennium, scientific– technological

development, globalization as a social phenomenon, and the great
development of communication technologies have fostered a different
context for teaching – learning the English language in the world. In the
training of future professionals in the country, it is of great importance to
study the English language as a foreign language based on the need for
their comprehensive training and their implications for their work once
graduated. As in our police training, it depends on jurisdiction being
sent to work and to help us when dealing with people of another
language, as English is the world language

Thomas: Hi John! Hello Andre! How are you guys?

Juan: Hello Tomás, pretty good.

Andre: Hello Thomas. I'm fine. And you?

Thomas: I'm fine too. I'm waiting for Italo and Jean to arrive. Let's go to
the parade ground.

André: Oh... that's great

Tomás: Would you like to join us?

Andre: I'd like to... but are you sure it's okay?

Tomás: Yes… don't worry! There is no problem. and you john

Juan: I would also like to, thank you.

Thomas: There's a problem! I don't know how to get to the parade

ground. Do any of you know how to get to the square?

John: No, we don't. Maybe Italo or Jean knows how to get there.

Jean: It's wonderful to meet again like old times.

Thomas: Go ahead! Do you know the main square here in Tarapoto

since I'm not from here I don't know?

Italo: yes of course! But I can't go with you to the square, because I have
a meeting at half past seven. Sorry guys... But you have to go... This
place is very big and beautiful. You can find around restaurants, clothing
stores, shoe stores, cinemas, fast food and mini cafes. It is a wonderful
and peaceful place!

Andre: Wow… that's perfect! But you have to say how do we get to the
square?

Italo: It's near the police station on Av Perú. Do you know where it is?

Andrew: No, I don't.

John: Me neither.

Italo: Pass a clothing store and turn left at the hospital.

Andrew: It's okay. Turn left .

Italo: Follow that road until you reach the intersection of av leguia and
perú. You can't lose this.

Jean: great! Is far?

Conclusions

Increasingly, the challenges faced by professionals of the National

Police of Peru, who demand comprehensive preparation from
them. As English is the language of science and technology, their
knowledge enriches them, opens up new opportunities for
development, broad individual and collective horizons, it is a
valuable tool of work and a means of access to universal
knowledge and cooperation between peoples. The introductory
course in police English that we develop includes the study of the
main tools that will allow the participant to face later communication
with people who speak in another language, the presentation of
cases, among other skills. The careful selection of the contents
treated, as well as the updating of them and the novelty of the type
of course, unprecedented in the country, make this a valuable
material in the hands of teachers and students.
