Dear professors,

It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for the Licence - Literature,
Languages - BILINGUAL ENGLISH, literature, human sciences.
As my passion and interest for literature and languages have kept growing over the years, I
logically chose to study the specialties "foreign and regional languages, literatures,
civilizations" (English) and "economic and social sciences" for my French Baccalaureate.
These subjects have enabled me to develop a better understanding of the world, and to
improve my eloquence, my organization and analyzing skills. I believed that all these
qualities are essential for an interpreter and that is why I strive to expand them in my
Bachelor’s degree.

My interest in foreign languages and in the job of interpreter grew during my internships,
especially the one I did at INALCO in ninth grade, where I visited the different services of the
university and met some interpreters who were making interventions during certain events.
Indeed, as I was already interested in European and Oriental languages and civilizations, I
did my ninth grade internship at the South-East Asia Department (my host was Burmese
teacher Mrs. San San HNIN TUN) of the Inalco to discover the various services and teaching
methods of this unique institute in France. This immersion at INALCO stimulated my
apetence to learn languages because I saw how mastering a new language could help me
access to the richness of each country since anthropology, history economy are subjects
taught at this Institute. It also made me learn how diversified the profession of interpreter
was, mixing a great linguistic knowledge and a demanding intellectual agility.

I am very Determined and ambitious and therefore my goal is to enter the ESIT (École
supérieure d'interprètes et de traducteurs) after having taken my Bachelor’s Degree at the
Sorbonne University.

In order to prepare my application, I was able to talk with students who praised the merits of
your prestigious university and told me about the classes and how they helped us develop
the qualities that are essential for becoming tomorrow's professionals with teaching that
stimulates creativity, open-mindedness and high standards, as well as the professionalism of
the teachers. Indeed, joining your Bachelor of Arts and Languages would allow me to benefit
from quality teaching and to obtain the Master of Arts and Languages of my choice in
excellent conditions.

I sincerely hope that my application will receive your attention. Do not hesitate to contact me
should you require further details.

Sincerely,
