With this letter I would like to express my interest in taking part in the European Summer School
in
Language and Culture for the period of 2nd July to the 2nd of August. I am currently at the second
year of my studies at the North-Caucasus Federal University of Stavropol, Russia. I do hold a
deep interest in the most fundamental aspects of Linguistics with a goal to devote my
professional towards understanding them skills in languages and I have interest for other
cultures.

During my studies I have been introduced and trained on a variety of disciplines concern not
only special courses relating to in-depth study of the structure and specification of languages
(practical courses in English and German, English grammar, English phonetics) , but also such
direction in Linguistic as Semiotics, Linguistic Expertise and Business Communication in
English.

I always was good in languages, because I am bilingual. Now I teach English for children. I am
sociable, responsible, polite and determined person. Thus I firmly believe that I will be able to
cope with the requirements of the summer school.

The main reason why I am keen on the program of your school is receiving a new experience of
communication with the native speakers of foreign languages in order to elevate my knowledge
of Linguistics for my future professional career. In that line it is quite evident that the
experiences gained, both by the hands-on experience on topics of my interest and by the
guidance of leading experts in the area, this summer school are so invaluable for me and for my
future endeavors.

I believe that the summer school will help me to learn a lot in this area, and this knowledge,
diligence and ability to learn fast helps me in the further works.

I am writing to apply for summer school afford by your University at the period from the 1st of
July to the 30th of July. I am currently at the second year of my studies at the North Caucasus
Federal University (Stavropol, Russia), Linguistic Department. I do hold a deep interest in the
most fundamental aspects of Linguistics. I’m studying German, English Language courses,
English Grammar course, Social Science and extra courses. I also learned English Phonetics
course and Adaptation into Cultural Integration.

Therefore, I would be captivated to grasp an inside look at a modern and top notch graduate
program and University of Berlin, since it is such a place that I hope to join as a graduate
student. The issue of civil rights seems rather vital for modern world. In my free time I study
sociology and human rights. I am interested in it. I always following what is happening in the
world. I like to discuss the latest events, to argue on social issues. Studying rights is very
important today. The tense political climate is taking shape in the world. In some countries there
are a lot of refugees. You need to know more about your and others' rights in order to reduce the
number of conflicts. You must be able to protect your freedom. I think these courses would help
me a lot. In the future, I would like to work in this area to improve the situation in my country
and possibly in the world. This summer school is so invaluable for me and for my future
endeavors.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that curricula of the summer school will provide answers to my
most profound and fundamental questions regarding my future. I know that at your university I
can improve my knowledge of German and English languages. I would like to travel abroad and
upgrade my German, learn a lot about your country. This is an opportunity for me. In school year
I wrote research work and took the second place in the city. Despite the fact that it was Physics, I
can write research papers. I am very sociable, I can immediately make friends.

I want to tell you about myself.I came to Stavropol on August 26.
I live in hostel.I got acquainted with my new roomate.Her name is Guncha.Besides,I met a girl
name is Bakhtigul.
Guncha took me to a ride and showed me these places. The days were fast and finally the day
was coming to the university for the first time. I went to the university on September 1,where
students are multinational and many.Our university is prestigious and beautiful.
We have chosen our own 
path.I chose German and English.There are 12 students in our group, of whom 3 are foreigners.
I Khatija and Byagul. 
They are from Turkmenistan.When I came from Uzbekistan.
every home, I met them and became friends.
We go to the University every day together. 
First of all, I'm bored. 
Because, I didn't know Russian. But, my friends helped me. Now I'm fine. 
I will try to study well.

The issue of studying English is rather vital for modern world as it productively affects business
sphere, global affairs and communication between people at last. It is equally meaningful for my
future occupation as well. Therefore the main reason why I am keen on the program at your
University is gaining new essential experience of communication with the native speakers of
foreign languages in order to upgrade my knowledge of Linguistics. I especially appreciate the
wide range of offered moduls and curricula, which your school provides for students. I believe it
will help me to be absorbed in Ancient Languages and their particular qualities to grasp its
origin. Furthermore, it is an honour to have an opportunity to study in German school and not
only practice English language experience, but also develop my German Language skills.

Before my studies at the University, I studied ten years at the English language center.
Throughout this time I have managed to meet and have conversation with many foreigners from
England and the USA to improve my English skills. Nevertheless, there are various English
Olympiads I participated in which are most justified by successful results. Currently I mouse and
develop my colloquial and vocabulary English skills by attending English Language courses.

I am confident you will find my application as a worthwhile investment. I would highly

With this letter I would like to take a part at the European Summer School in English. Right now
I Am at the second year of my studies at the North СCaucasian Federal University, Department
of Linguistics. And I’m really up to learning languages because it is really useful in our time.
Besides it will help me to communicate with peoples from other countries.

By the way, its such a good opportunity for me to talk with a native speaker in your school, learn
new words and make friends. All this will help me with my future career and upgrade my
language skills. During my studies I have been introduced and trained on a variety of subjects

at the second year of my studies at the North Caucasus Federal University, Linguistics
Department (Stavropol, Russia), and I am really deeply interested in fundamental aspects of
linguistics with a goal to devote my professional career towards understanding them. During my
studies I have been introduced and trained on a variety of subjects including practical courses in

handle computer work.

Knowledge of a foreign language currently plays an important role in society. Foreign languages

2nd. For this very moment I am the 2nd year student of North-Caucasus Federal University in
Stavropol, majoring in linguistics. I have taken course in Basics of Socio-Cultural Adaptation
and Integration. Now I’m taking courses in English and German. As the only approval of my
English skill goes PET exam I passed about three years ago. Despite my German is at the rather
low level now, but let me assure you – I’m trying my best to improve it, and your school is the
best way for me to do it.

The issue of civil right seems rather vital for modern world and so for me, because after my
entrance in university I came to be very interested in that theme, since I have taken courses in
Philosophy and Social-Culture. And as long as I am taking courses in English and German, this
school gives me an extra advantage in improving my language proficiency. So I would like to
have a chance to participate in this summer school.

Furthermore, I truly believe that improving your language skill is not the only thing in becoming
a proper linguist, but also acquiring greater social communication skills, using the language in
the way you use your native language: to communicate with people, and where you can take the
full advantage of this other than not in such summer school.
