All Renault Trucks K vehicles up to CH ID: J31KE004149, with lubricated suspension articulations, in rough and very
rough road conditions.
Case description
Front leaf spring suspension screws get loose and can break if loosening is not detected. It can happen either on the
front or on the rear anchorage of the front spring.
Reason
Badly centred spring bushing. Tightening and lubrication are too low for the given usage.

Before installing spring bushings, and also after tightening, ensure that the bushings are well centred (A=B)
2. Front anchorage
Follow operation 72144-2 72144-2 Front spring bushing, replace (one side)
Note! This installation is not possible on the second axle of 8x4 trucks.
Do not rotate the M24 hexagon screw (1) during its insertion in the assembly.
When possible, tighten the hexagon screw on the nut side. If necessary, remove the bolt from the engine suspension
to gain room for the tools.

If tightened on screw side, ensure that the bushing remains centred (A=B).
Once tightened, grease the articulation until the grease overflows on both sides of the bushing.
3. Rear anchorage
Follow Impact operations Front spring bushing rear end also upper spring bushing, replace
Left-hand side: 72142-2 Front spring bushing rear end and upper spring bushing, replace (left-hand side)
Right-hand side: 72143-2 Front spring bushing rear end and upper spring bushing, replace (right-hand side)
Second front axle, left-hand side: 72123-2 Front spring bushing rear and upper spring bushing, replace (left-hand side)
Second front axle, right-hand side: 72124-2 Front spring bushing rear and upper spring bushing, replace (right-hand
side)

4. Maintenance
In case of severe truck usage, the greasing interval of the spring bushings must be reduced. In extreme cases, it can
be as low as 2000 km.
